Adoption Fee: $460, plus taxes Location: Foster Home Meet Gabby, she is a cattle dog mix who is extremely enthusiastic about life! This girl really loves her walks even though she came with very little experience with leash walking skills. In the beginning, she was all over the place and pulling with great gusto. Her foster family has tried a harness as well as a gentle leader and is making lots of progress with her! They are confident that a consistent training schedule will help her master her favorite activity! She had a very long ride up from Texas and at this point does not enjoy riding in the car, however with time and positive reinforcement, she could learn to love sticking her head out the window! Gabby is very smart and she will keep you on your toes. Since her foster family has been together she has learned sit, down, crawl and is working hard on stay and not jumping up. She maybe a little too rambunctious for younger children, but she would love to play with older kids! At this early stage in her training, she gets into mischief sometimes so her foster family is doing an amazing job with kennel training her when they leave the house. She is very playful, she loves her blue ball and is happy to bring it back to you but she is still working on learning to drop the ball after she returns with it. Gabby loves to run, run, and run! She would love you forever if you had a big backyard for her to frolic in! Gabby is a wonderful girl and loves her belly rubs, and any attention from you. She, in return, also loves to hug you! Gabby is about one year old, she is spayed, microchipped, and up to date with her vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Gabby, please submit an application on Carver Scott Humane Society's website.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there, I’m Will – a very playful and handsome (or so I’m told)  Australian Cattle Dog mix of about 45 pounds.  I was born February 1, 2017. I’m crate and house trained, and lots of fun. I can relax on my own when I’m not playing, chilling with the other dogs in my foster home or in my crate (which is my home-within-my-home).  I know basic commands like sit, stay, and come, and am working on leash manners because I just love walks and playing in the backyard. (I especially think I’d be a good walking or running buddy.)  I am suuuuper food-motivated, which helps me learn quickly. If you have a backyard, take me on walks, and offer the occasional (or not so occasional) treat, we’ll be best friends forever! There’s one thing you need to know about me… I need a special home where my people understand how rewarding it is to earn the love of a doggo who finds the world a little scary. I get nervous and bark around strangers, and I was pretty scared of my foster family at first. But they have been working with me, and will tell you that I am super loyal and loving once you earn my trust. It also helps that my people give me little pills every day to help with my fears. (I take them like a champ; my humans pet me when I swallow them right down, and I love to please.) My medication costs about $15 a month.  Overall, I would really like a home where my person or family will help me with my worried side, giving me love and guidance and bringing out my playful personality! I think I’ll feel most comfortable in a home with older or no kids – I have a 13-year-old human foster sister who thinks I’m awesome – and I’ll need a little time to get to know any dogs in the house.  (Since I’m a herding breed, I like to herd other dogs, too.) I haven’t met any cats, but I might try to herd them and I don’t think either the cat or humans would like that. One other great thing about me: I eat in my crate and sometimes just chill out there when I need a break or strange humans come to the house. With a little treat or a couple of bites of food, I’ll zoom right in! Give me love, exercise, and a little space of my own, and I’ll be thrilled every time you walk in the door. My foster family says I’m a real lover who deserves a forever home; I’m so excited!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lucky is a 10-year old male, Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler) / Lab mix weighing 76lbs.  Lucky is an amazingly sweet dog who is great with kids (as long as they like big kisses from a bigger sized dog!) and gets along great with other dogs (both in home and in the neighborhood). Lucky walks well on a leash (and really enjoys walks) but would prefer a house with a fenced in yard or area to go off leash for a bit daily. Lucky will adapt quickly to his surroundings but would adjust best to a home already occupied with a friendly dog. He loves receiving attention and is always nearby to receive pets/love & treats or to play with a stuffed animal with you. Lucky is not kennel trained but does just fine having run of the house while his foster parents are away for work. Lucky does not jump on furniture (which is a plus!) and will need assistance to be lifted into vehicles for dog park visits or trips to the vet. He would do best with a house with an average/minimal amount of steps.  He is heart-worm negative, neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella).   If you are interested in adding sweet Lucky to your family, please fill out an application to schedule a meet and greet! Story
Well hello! My name is Jennifer. I am from Arkansas. I am a super friendly girl - I love my people and a few other dogs I've met. Like my sister, Josie, I love to snuggle and sit on your lap, but I'm also learning about these toy things. They're really fun to play with! Tug is my favorite. Mom tries to get me to share and stop taking my sisters' toys, so I'll work on that. I am still getting acclimated to my foster home and love to explore out in the yard. The snow is so fun and I get to eat it too. I have two human brothers (9 & 12) and they're great - I love to use my loud voice and bark at them when I see them. I have some work to do with basic commands and walking on a leash, but mom is working hard to teach me new things...and I get treats! From the Foster Mom: Jennifer is such a playful and friendly little girl. We just adore her and her sweetness! She sure does love her toys and loves to steal them from her sister and resident dog, however, she's never been territorial over them. She seems pretty comfortable with her kennel, but am continuing to work on that. She can go all night without an accident as well. Jennifer loves her humans so much, she likes to jump up and greet them, so will need to work on that with her. We do not have any cats, so I can't say how she'd do with cats.

Story
Hi! My name is Wobbles and I am from Kentucky. From her foster: Wobbles is a sweet, easy going, blue heeler gal - with all the love and affection in the world! She is SO friendly and just wants to be by her humans. She is quick to warm up to you, as long as you give lots of scratches and pets. :) She has gotten along well with all of my resident dogs (all sizes from chihuahua to husky) and has not shown any reactive behaviors while playing. She does show a little bit of guarding with bones and treats (so far not her meals though); she communicates well with giving a little warning growl towards other dogs to say, "hey, this is mine!". She is house trained, crate trained, walks on a leash, and seems to travel well in the car. She is not very vocal yet, and has only let out a few barks when letting me know there's a person walking by a couple of times - seems to do well with the city sounds. She still has that ACD energy and loves to play with my resident ACD mix. She's just as happy to lay next to me quietly while I work. She is truly happy to go anywhere we go, with lots of enthusiasm and curiosity. She has been such a joy to have around! Wobbles gets her name from her back left leg. The intake staff told me it does not appear to cause any pain or discomfort at this point. It doesn't seem to slow her down much. She has some limited mobility that should be taken into consideration (i.e. home with a ton of stairs may not be ideal, but some stairs are okay!) I will be taking her into TBB Vet 4/19 to find out if any other vetting is needed. She may need to lose a few lbs to get to a healthy weight, however TBD until the vet appointment. She has not been tested with cats or humans; based on the breed, there may be some "sharky" heeler tendencies with children or other animals. From the Vet: Hi! I'm Wobbles and the vet wanted to provide an update after my exam. Based on my exam and x-rays my left hip is normal but I have some hyperextension of the hind limb which could have been caused by a few different things ie. congenital abnormality, previous infection or injury so exact cause is hard to determine. My future family may need to be prepared to pay special attention to my leg and make sure I am continuing to not have any issues with pain etc. Any surgical intervention is not recommended at this time.
