Don't worry though, I won't give you any attitude. I am very bright and would love to learn from my people. I have a very happy disposition and never met a person or pup who wasn't my friend! I'm a great, classic, old school kind of dog.. one that might remind you of a dog from your childhood. I would love to find a home where I can claim my people for my very own..finally! <3 Sassy's Story: Sassy came to us when a rescuer found her runni ng on a freeway in NW houston and has been with us ever since. She is a great dog who is as sweet as the day is long and smart as a whip. She has a bright personality and a very happy disposition. Sassy has never met a dog or a human that she does not like. She is just a good old fashioned dog, one like many people remember having growing up. She has not been able to find the right home yet but we are very hopeful that someone will see her and remember having a dog like her in their childhood. We feel sure if we get the word out, someone will come out to meet Sassy and leave S.T.A.A.R. richer because they will be adding this classic dog to their life! She would love to have another dog to be able to play with all day. She loves toys, but would definitely prefer to have someone to share and play with them with. She is fully housebroken and is learning how to walk on a leash, and she's doing very well. She can be very timid in new situations, but with lots of encouragement, she warms up very quickly.Prior to adoption I will be altered, vaccinated, health checked, dewormed, and micro-chipped. Story
Maizy was born in Tennessee in 2012 and we rescued her in the Fall of 2014. She has always been a very sweet dog. No matter who she has met she's loved them right away and will stay by your side as long as you want to pet her. Maizy is also a very loyal dog and immediately bonded with us. Friends and family are constantly telling us what a great and friendly dog she is. She is great with older kids and sweet with little ones too but gets excitable and likes to jump up. She is reactive to other dogs as well as cars during walks, so a big fenced in yard would be best for her. We love her so much and we think a new home, as hard as it will be, is the best thing for her.

Story
Rey is a very sweet and loving dog that needs a home with her being the only dog. She loves to cuddle with her human and get all the attention by belly rubs. I have to rehome her because she doesn’t get along with my small dog (dachshund). She does get along with bigger dogs, so that would be an option. However, it can’t be a home with small dogs. I don’t have children myself, but I don’t think small children would be a good fit for her either. I am looking for someone who can give her the love and attention that she deserves!
