Hi, my name is Spur. I am a very handsome purebred blue heeler that would love to find a family of my own. I am only about a year old and very smart so I will be ready to learn all that you have to teach me. I would really like to have a big yard to run around in and an active family to keep me busy. If I sound like the boy you have been looking for, please come meet me. Spur would do best as an only dog. Story
Meet Keller! We took him in, in June of 2018 to be a farm dog at our new country farm. He was only a new puppy, but we quickly learned he was different. With his first vet appointment we learned he was deaf, but we were willing to dive in and make him feel comfortable. The last few months he has become intolerant of our chickens, then our cats and now our 2 other dogs. He also chases cars, and we live on a busy highway. We have 4 kids, but they are not small children, he does fine with them as long as he isn't trying to chase or capture our other animals. We believe he is protecting his home and that is why he does not like the other animals. We are sad to have to re-home him, however after lots of investigating dogs that are deaf need a slower paced home as when they are overstimulated that can become frustrated. We believe our busy lifestyle is becoming too much for him. He is a loving dog, who knows a few hand commands and loves car rides and walks!
