Story
Hey there, I'm Diesel How I ended up at a high kill shelter is beyond me. I mean look at me! It must have been after the accident- I had a hurt leg and tail, they wheeled me into a noisy place in a wheel barrel. Seriously? That's like you ma'ma kissing you while dropping you off at school...embarrassing! I was saved by this rescue and have been with my foster family - after a short (nah, it was a really long time in dog years) time wearing a cast- I am good as new. Trust me, I can run. And, while we are on that subject- please do not apply if you do not have a fence---you will be wasting your time. I was on 150 acres and still wanted to see more of the world. I enjoyed it, however my rescue and foster mom not so much! 🎶🎶 Oh, give me land, lots of land under starry skies above Don't fence me in Let me ride through the wide open country that I love Don't fence me in 🎶🎶 Ha, ha, ha ... I crack myself up! My foster mom says I am sweet boy! I love to catch and eat flying insects, I will throw toys for myself and to entertain you and I would love lots of room to run and play (rescue edit: with a fence) or an active family. I am appx 1 year old, fully vetted and ready to roll. Please don't make me beg... I mean, I will. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE adopt me. We will have tons of fun and lots of laughs, by the way- I can chill out and just think about running. Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Texas- My rescue will make all arrangements for me to travel to you as soon as I am adopted. Note: The above bio on the dog reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. We provide adopters current information on our dogs; we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners. Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. Our dogs have been dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), started on heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, vaccinated for bordetella, dhppv, rabies (if age appropriate) and microchipped. If old enough they are spayed or neutered, otherwise it will be noted and under a foster to adopt contract until completed and an additional deposit of $100 will be required- deposit will be refunded upon request and proof of surgery. A transportation fee of $250 is required and covers health certificate to travel as well as transportation. Please be advised that our dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to being transported. Unfortunately, it is not possible to meet the dogs in person prior to adoption. We will Facetime and you may speak with the dog’s foster family. We only send well behaved, well rounded dogs, sending anything other fails the dogs. We expect our dogs to be adopted by families who understand- these are rescue dogs, they will need time to decompress, routine and stability. We put our lives into saving these dogs- we expect their new families to be prepared for a lifetime commitment before applying- dogs are not recyclable. Please do not send an email inquiring about a dog. Please fill out the adoption application found at https://www.rangersreach.org/ We are 100% volunteer ran and you have no clue how bad it is down here; we try as hard as we can to get through applications as fast as possible. If we spend all our time answering inquires and emails, we have no time to look over applications. Please do not apply until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. We do not hold dogs for any reason. We do try to be fair and go in the order applications are received. If no response, decision or adoption is made we must move on to the next application. Applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will receive that dog. WE CANNOT ADOPT INTO MASSACHUSETTS AT THIS TIME

Story
Ramona Flowers (Ramona for short), is a two and half year old red heeler mix with loads of energy. She had been a good dog for our family but unfortunately due to loss of employment, we just can't afford to keep her anymore. She does need some basic behavior training (she jumps and nips when excited) and would need somebody to keep her active or she'll find her own entertainment (usually getting into something she's not supposed to). She loves to play fetch with a tennis ball but she chases cars so a fenced in yard would be a good idea. Ramona is a bit leary of strangers and will go into defensive stance when she first meets you but once she gets use to you, you'll get loads of affection.
