Story
Kiko came to the Texas as a shy dog who couldn't even walk on a leash. In the month that he was there he learned to walk on a leash with out pulling a lot and is now a social butterfly. Kiko has a puppy personality; he loves to play, is sweet, loving and highly trainable. He is now here and Oregon and waiting for the right person or family to take him home. Kiko would do best in a home with another social dog and no young children. He has a lot of ""Heeler"" personality, so would benefit from appropriate training. We focus on finding the best match for adoptable animals and are not first-come first-served. If you are interested in learning more about and meeting any adoptable pet, please come in to the shelter during our open adoption hours Wednesday – Saturday 11am to 6pm.We are located at: 1591 S Sandoz Rd Newberg, OR 97132Some maps will route you to 1591 S Avalon Park, it is the same location. If you have another dog in the home, we require you, your family members, and your existing dog(s) to come and meet the dog at the shelter. Story
Dear Future Family, My name is Tiesen!! I am a young boy of about 9 months and part Heeler or Spaniel. I would love to be part of your family! My Foster House has a kitty who I love to play with. I also live with 3 other doggies and we all get along really well. I LOVE TOYS! Bark box day at Foster Mom’s house is the BEST day ever!! I Iike to gather all the toys from the toy box into a different room because they seem lonely and must want me to chew on them. I enjoy the small humans too! Really I love anyone who can give me scratches and let me nibble on their ears. I can be a kinda shy boy at times, and I am not a huge fan of car rides. They make my tummy hurt. Foster mom says she’s working on my nervous things. So I get to go to work at her doggie resort every day. I love it there! But I am still learning to love the ride to the fun. I am about 90% potty trained right now, sometimes I just can’t seem to hold it and you know the saying, "when you gotta go, you go." I can relax comfortably in a kennel but I would much rather take up the human bed where I can get pets. I am very food motivated and know how to sit. Foster mom says I still have to work on my DOWN command but what fun is down, all the good stuff is up! I would make a great addition to your family! I have so much love to give! GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our puppies are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each pup comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm tested if not started on heartworm preventatives early, and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $500 for puppies under a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location. Medical records accompany each dog at the time of delivery and can be emailed to adopter prior to arrival if desired.. Microchips will be automatically registered to the new owner after payment of adoption fee. The registration site we use is Michelson Found Animals which is free to use and update during the lifetime of your pet. Please allow 24-48 hours for the new information to appear on the website. God's Dogs will remain as a permanent back up registration for safety sake. Please visit our website http://godsdogsrescue.org/ for helpful information re: transport, our adoption process and application, volunteering and fostering, and photos of our dogs/pups looking for homes!! Thank you for wanting to adopt a rescue dog, their LIVES depend on it!
