Whew, does Lulu have a story! Lulu was rescued from the Cleveland animal shelter after (we assume) she was hit by a car. She had broken legs on the right side of her body. Her front leg had to be amputated and we’re having to battle with the back leg to get it in working order! She needs an adopter with either experience with the breed, or experience with special needs dogs. She’s got that heeler spunk to her! Like some heelers, she’s not a fan of some new people right off the bat and will let you know if she likes you. Inquire if she sounds like your type of gal! She is currently available for FOSTER TO ADOPT ONLY.

I am very friendly and love everyone. I think I was born around February 1, 2017. I weigh about 48 pounds. I am very friendly and love everyone! I was likely dumped on a country road near Overton, TX. A nice family took me in and gave me food and water. Sadly, they did not know that I should have been spayed. I ended up having two litters of puppies. After the 2nd litter the family decided they needed help. The family surrendered all of us to Penny. I am so excited about the possibility of getting my very own forever home. You have no idea how happy that would make me. I want so much to have a family that will make me a family member and not just throw me in the yard, likely forgetting about me. I am hoping to get spayed in October of 2018. Sadly, no one ever thought to give me monthly heart worm prevention so I am starting with the slow kill first and if I continue to be heart worm positive, I could go through the heart worm treatment. We found these three beautiful girls and one male puppy that had been dumped in our neighborhood over the weekend. They are young, very sweet and affectionate with each other and with us. They are starved for attention. They get along well with each other and act like a little family. We have 5 pets of our own and cannot keep these babies. I do not know anything about their history or vetting, but they do look healthy other than needing a bath and being skinny.
