Story
Blackjack is fostered in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to move north for a good loving forever home. ****Please note: Due to the Corona Virus, our rescue transport service is unsure if they will be able to continue transporting to the northeast. If you want to adopt Blackjack, and are willing to possibly have to wait to get him, I will hold him for you. He would be sent to you as soon as transports start again. If not, please check back later. Blackjack and his brother were the result of an unspayed female and one of the neighbors unneutered males. We agreed to help place the pups in return for the mother being fixed. Mom was a red heeler mix and dad was a shepherd mix. Blackjack is the smallest pup in the litter weighing 24 pounds. He is mostly black with a white/merle patch on his chest. The boys are between 3 and 4 months of age and we think they will grow up to be a medium sized dogs. Blackjack is a bit shy, but very sweet, gentle and playful. He loves treats and learned to sit for a treat with only a few tries. Blackjack loves playing with toys and other dogs. Blackjack is a puppy that will need to be trained and further socialized. Blackjack must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and would like a secure fenced yard to run and play. Blackjack is healthy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea prevention. Blackjack has a $450.00 adoption fee which includes ground transport via PETS LLC for pickup in Brattleboro or White River Junction VT. He is being fostered in Texas and she will not be sent north until after he is adopted. Please contact 2 Many Dogs Rescue for an adoption application if you are interested in adopting this sweet puppy. Story
Red Tucson, Red for short, thrives on attention and loving words, which he doesn’t seem to have received much of in his life so far.  This handsome boy is a Red Heeler/Cattle Dog mix that is just a year old and weighs only 30 pounds.  When Red first came into his foster home, he was timid and a little anxious around the bigger dogs, and would snarl at the bigger guys if they approached him.  But from the beginning, he’s loved playing…all day long…with his foster sister puppy, a 10-pound terrier.  In just a week's time, Red got used to a routine and the house filled with people and dogs of all sizes and he has warmed up to the two larger dogs as well.  Poor small guy was just so fearful.  He spends his day playing with the young puppy or just hanging out with the foster parents.  Red loves some special one-on-one cuddle time.  He will lay in your lap while he gets petted and talked to.  He just melts in to a nirvana of contentment and joy as he closes his eyes and takes it all in. He really seems to enjoy this special one on one time.  Red Tucson is good in a crate but it is not his favorite thing to be made to do.  Once he’s there, he’s quiet and doesn’t make any fuss until he’s let out the following morning.  His foster home has a fenced yard and doggie door, and he learned to use that right away and has not had any accidents in the house since he learned the purpose of the doggie door.  He is smart and learns fast like most Red Heelers will do.  He does need to be fed separately where he doesn't feel threatened that another dog would steal his food.  Red Tucson is not a big barker, but will bark as an alert if someone approaches the house.  In just a week of foster care he has lost all his fears and replaced them with confidence, love and acceptance of all he lives with in the foster home.  We think Red Tuscon will make a great dog for so many different types of homes and families or even a single person.  He is a dog that is very adaptable and could fit in anywhere.   He is in Nashville, TN and ready to travel northward to a new and forever home.  Just contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Sorry, we cannot adopt to MA residents.
