Nox

Australian Cattle Dog Husky

Male, Adult
Bellingham, WA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Nox is a good dog, however he needs the perfect owner. He needs to be placed in a home without any children under the age of 8 and most likely a home without other dogs. He will get along with an older dog that has little interest in serious play. He also prefers men and tends to challenge women for an alpha role. He will growl in defense if he is not getting his way, but he does not bite. He has never bitten me or anyone else. He shows aggressive tendencies purely based out of fear but does not act upon them. Nox would be a perfect dog to patrol your property (especially if you are a farmer or have acreage). This is ideally the type of adopter that I am looking for. An extremely active male owner would also work but I need to see photos of proof to see that this dog will be adequately taken care of. This isn’t a dog for the inexperienced. Nox loves to howl, chew up sticks, swim and play. He also pulls hard on the leash because he is a husky mix with the drive to run. Jogger wanted.

Story
Oreo is a 5-year old, 45 lb cattle dog. She was surrendered to Harris County Shelter in Houston Texas when her owners moved. She was surrendered with her son Banjo and daughter Osita. Oreo is deaf and she gets very attached to her person. She can be possessive of her people when other dogs are around. She tries to get in between her people and dogs so she can get all the love and attention. While she prefers to be the only dog, she understands that she needs to share sometimes. Oreo is very loving and cuddly with her people. She will make a great companion for a forever home that can provide her love and security. Oreo enjoys learning signs for her deafness and picks them up quickly. Cheese, soft beds, long-line walks, car rides and being a couch potato are some of her favorite things. She loves outings to the local pet store, but will get snippy if another dog approaches too quickly on-leash. Oreo doesn’t like fast movements from people or dogs. She rides well in the car and will bark at unknown people walking by. She crates well at home though she prefers the couch. Oreo is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Oreo is being fostered on Camano Island and the adoption fee is $330. If you're interested in meeting Oreo, please fill out an adoption application on our website. If this listing is up, the dog is still available! Please note — We do not do DNA testing on our foster dogs. The breed description is our best guess based on the dog’s appearance, mother’s appearance, paperwork, etc. Adoption Process: - Adoption Application pnwcdr.org/adopt - Phone Convo - Meet & Greet - Home Visit - Application Approval - Adoption Fee & Contract Adoption Application: pnwcdr.org/adopt
