Story
Theeya is an absolute love. She came to us from the Humane Society in November of 2015, after having been surrendered by an elderly owner. She was house trained from the moment we got her, and is crate trained if you prefer that. She's always slept at the foot of our bed and loves to snuggle on the couch. She is older, so she's content to spend a lot of time relaxing around the house and snoozing. She loves to be loved and cuddled. But, she also has good energy and likes to play frequently, go on as many walks as you are willing to take her on, and would do very well with a yard to run around and play in. She's very anxious in cars so would do well with people who like to spend time at home. She's pretty territorial and doesn't do well with other pets. She's always been great with older kids, but now that our baby is a toddler, she's been very irritable with him and has snapped at him a few times. Therefore, she would do best in a home with older kids or all adults.

Maxie is a sweet, beautiful, wiggle butt of a girl! She is roughly 3-4 years old and around 55lbs. Maxie is active and needs a family that is committed to getting her proper exercise and working with her on obedience training. She can be shy with some people but her curiosity and sweet nature will quickly win out and she will lean on you to get your attention and affection. She is extremely loving and sweet with her people! She would do okay with another male or a submissive female dog but they would need to be approximately her size or larger and nothing small. She meets most dogs ok but her energy can be a bit off-putting. Requirements: Kids over the age of 10. Herding breed experience and training needed. She has food guarding issues even with people so a dog experienced family is needed. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $400.

I am a 3year old hunky heeler/pit mix. I am a 70lb teddy bear who likes to snuggle and still thinks I fit in your lap. I get really excited to see you again, even if you were only gone for 5 minutes. I calm down pretty quick but I want you to know I missed you! I would love a home that likes to take daily walks, hike and explore. A fenced yard is best for me. I do ok on a leash but could use some improvement in that area. I am not cat tested and prefer kids over the age of 12. Sammy can be reactive with other dogs and should be the only pet in the home. I am UTD on my shots, neutered and micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $300.

Sundae is a 4 year old, 45lb Australian Cattle Dog. Sundae was found as a stray and transferred to FHDR to help her find the right home in the country where she can have acreage to roam. Sundae is looking for an adult only home with breed experience where she can have indoor/outdoor access. Sundae likes to walk the perimeter of her property and in typical herding dog fashion will redirect people and alert them once she's familiar with her boundaries. She is a very loyal and happy girl but prefers to be an only dog, in an adult only home (no kids) and no cats. She is spayed, current on her shots and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $150.

HI - I'M AUSTIN! I'm a 1-year-old male red-ticked Australian Cattle Dog. I was recently saved from a shelter, where I was very scared and shut down. I'm doing better now, but will need to go to a quiet home where I can finally feel secure and blossom!  I am a stunning boy who deserves a chance at a happy life. I'll make a wonderful lifelong companion. Can you foster or adopt me? Please note, we are a Texas based rescue that transports our pups once they are adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes, so much is known about their temperament, training level and personality. We know adopting a dog sight unseen can be daunting, so we are happy to share additional videos, photos and even let you Facetime with the pup. We are primarily an equine rescue, but do assist with a small number of dogs annually. We are happy to provide references from previous adopters if needed. Thank you for wanting to adopt! I am just as sweet as my name!!! I am an 8 week old border collie hybrid, but I don't runs on petrol and electric!! I runs on love, belly scratches, and cookies!! My Foster Mum calls me a love bug (I don't want to embarrass Foster Mum, but I am a puppy, not a bug!! Geeesh, hoomans and their odd expressions can be so confusing!!) I loooove getting my tummy rubbed and chin scritches!! I will roll over on my back and smile my best smile to convince a hooman to rub my belly!! I also like cuddles and kisses. And I have gots lots of smarts, too!! I like to line up my toys in an orderly row, but then my brudders comes and ruins my design :( Then my brudders and I wrastle; I like playing with my brudders and sisters. I gets on good with other doggies, kitties, and even some ginormous, smelly creatures called "horse." These "horse" is so big, I can't even see their faces from the ground!! Currently, I weigh 7 pounds, but I will keep growin' 'till I am around 40 pounds (that is a lots of doggie treats and nutrition to get so big!!) Maybe when I gets growed, I kin see the face of "horse" from the ground? Some hoomans have said "oh, my, Border Collies are so high energy!" But this is so not true of my mammy, me and my litter mates. We is average energy and Foster Mum says "very low maintenance" (whatever in the world that means!!). So, whether you like sugary cereals or are a Keto kinda Hooman, I would love to be your little Cocoa Puff!! Please fill out an application and adopt me today!!
