Ryder is an energetic boy who sometimes gets nippy with people as is common with most cattle dog breeds. He would do well in a high activity home where he will be trained and worked regularly, daily, multiple times per day. He plays very intensely with other dogs, so will need to meet all other dogs in the home before he can go home. Ryder will require multiple visits with his family before he can be adopted.

Story
Pepper has made a lot of progress in the last week. One week ago our trainer could not get near him. This week, he sat in Pepper's kennel and talked to him, and he relaxed and let the trainer pet him. He had no trouble putting a leash on Pepper, but he was afraid to leave the kennel at first. He did get Pepper out with a lot of coaxing, but everything is new to him. The staff doesn't think Pepper has had much human contact. He is very sweet and affectionate once he trusts you. Pepper needs a gentle and patient owner who can bring him out of his shell and make him all he can be in this world!
