Story
Please note, we are a Texas based rescue that transports our pups once they are adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes, so much is known about their temperament, training level and personality. We know adopting a dog sight unseen can be daunting, so we are happy to share additional videos, photos and even let you Facetime with the pup. We are primarily an equine rescue, but do assist with a small number of dogs annually. We are happy to provide references from previous adopters if needed. Thank you for wanting to adopt! Goo'Day, Mate! How 'r' you goin'? My name is Handsome, and indeed I am!! I am a two year old Australian Kelpie hybrid boy dawg ; many of the current Australian exports are ridiculously good looking (i.e. Liam and Chris Hemsworth...and me!!!) Kelpie's are known to be Alert, Eager, Energetic, Friendly, Intelligent, Loyal. Check, check, and check!!!! My ancestors were bred to guard and herd livestock; Kelpies can successfully muster and drove with little or no guidance. This highly developed skill requires an extremely intelligent dog capable of independent thinking. With working class background, I will do best with a "job" to do; if you don't happen to have goats or sheep to herd, you and your family will become my job...and I take my work very seriously!! I am a happy, playful, and goofy guy. I inherited athleticism and coordination from my ancestors and will make a great hiking/running buddy. I will do best in a home with a yard and an active person/couple/family. I thrive on human interaction and will not do well if let alone for long period of time. At 2 years old and 45 pounds, I have reached my full adult weight, I have a long life ahead of me and need my own hooman(s) to help me become my best doggie self!! So, don't behave as if you have "kangaroos loose in the top paddock," fill out the online adoption application today! I am "stoked" to meet you!!

Story
Welcome Roo. He is a 15 or 16-month-old Kelpie/Shepherd mix dog. He is about 70 or 75 pounds. He is a big and energetic dog. He is great with other dogs and gets along well with all personalities. He loves all people as everyone is a potential playmate. He wants to play, run, walk and hike and would be an excellent companion for an active family. He is smart and ready to take direction and allow you to show him the ropes. He is motivated to please and will make a great running, jogging or hiking companion. He would also be fine as a family dog. Due to his energy and excitement, we think kiddos 10 or older would be his best fit. He could be to exuberant for the little tikes. He is currently in Texas and is healthy and ready for his new forever home. He was pulled off the euthanasia list in one of the local Texas pounds by Mandy and her family. He has been in foster care with other dogs and teenagers waiting for his forever family to find him. He would do great in a fenced yard to have area he can run and play. He can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to have him delivered to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 200 and transport is 185. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to maudreyh@aol.com for an application. See his cute video!!

Story
Kingsley is a sweet, 7 year old pup who loves to cuddle and be pet. He’s very calm and well behaved while indoors but is not friendly towards other dogs. He also gets nervous when meeting new people so small groups are best while off leash! Kingsley is looking for a home where he can relax and get lots of snuggles.
