Lola was rescued from an animal control facility just in the nick of time. A new Foster Daddy agreed to keep this very pregnant dog for just a couple of days until transportation could be arranged. Ms Lola has other plans, though and one day before her transport, she began giving birth. Thankfully for both her and her brand new Foster Daddy all went well. Over a period of about 12 hours she gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies. On Jan 2 she and her 8 one day old pups arrived at St Francis. Where they were quickly settled into a warm, dry, soft spot in our nursery. Her caretaker describes her as very sweet, likes everyone she meets. She walks well on the leash. Story
X-1 is a super friendly dog and loves attention. Loves to run. Kennel trained but we haven’t had a need for it in recent years now that I’m home full time. Was fully trained but his training has slipped due to us not having the time daily to keep him interested now that we have children. Will still sit, stand, come, stay, and roll over. We moved into town back in October and after living down a quiet county road his entire life X-1 is very stressed. We have tried several things to help him short of taking him to the vet to be heavily medicated and unaware for the rest of his life because that is no way for him to live. He also has to be on a lead when he goes outside now instead of free roaming the yard and he doesn’t much care for that either. He would be great for someone who lives out of town or at the end of a quiet dead end street with a fenced in yard. We would love to get him into someplace quickly so he can get to living his best life since we can’t give that to him anymore.
