She is Located in Long Island NY and will be fully vetted with 60 days free pet insurance. Amari is small but strong super sweet but needs a home with older kids. Welcome Roo. He is a 15 or 16-month-old Kelpie/Shepherd mix dog. He is about 70 or 75 pounds. He is a big and energetic dog. He is great with other dogs and gets along well with all personalities. He loves all people as everyone is a potential playmate. He wants to play, run, walk and hike and would be an excellent companion for an active family. He is smart and ready to take direction and allow you to show him the ropes. He is motivated to please and will make a great running, jogging or hiking companion. He would also be fine as a family dog. Due to his energy and excitement, we think kiddos 10 or older would be his best fit. He could be to exuberant for the little tikes. He is currently in Texas and is healthy and ready for his new forever home. He was pulled off the euthanasia list in one of the local Texas pounds by Mandy and her family. He has been in foster care with other dogs and teenagers waiting for his forever family to find him. He would do great in a fenced yard to have area he can run and play. He can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to have him delivered to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Meet Jack. He is a one year old Australian Shepherd mix who weighs only 40 lbs. This active 'little' guy is full of energy and full of life. He loves to run around and loves to play. Jack is a very loyal boy too. Once he finds his person you are the apple of his eye and he wants to be wherever you are. He would be an ideal match for someone who works from home as he could definitely help with that. He is not a barker so he would not disturb the work. He just wants to be with you. He is great with other dogs and OK with cats. Jack loves his toys but they do not last long if he gets bored. He really needs an active family with a fenced in yard. Someone to play with and a yard to run around in will help with all his energy. He is a sweetheart though and loves to cuddle too. Jack is housebroken and crate trained. He is learning to walk on a leash and he rides OK in the car. If you are an active person or family then Jack is the one for you. Camping, hiking, walking or running are right up his alley. We were asked to go to a mans house that had 4 dogs and several puppies running around. Animal control had been called about him and we got called to see if we could help before they got there. We did not see any dog food out when we arrived or water. We explained to the man what he needed to do and that we could take the mum and puppies to get them all fixed and find homes. He said they would eat what his pigs were. We explained that is not good and he finally let us that Mellie and her 8 puppies. He would not let us take the Great Pyr as he said it was protecting his goats, even though the poor dog was on a tie out because he would get into fights with the other male on the property. The other 2 dogs we could not get near, they would run from us each time. We got him to put out water in buckets and dog houses. Animal control was coming to make him keep his dogs contained. We did everything we could and at least got 9 dogs safe off the property. Mellie is the mum to the puppies. All the puppies found homes and we had to treat Mellie for heartworms, she is now negative and looking for her forever home. She is very sweet and eager to please. She is timid at times. She will need a fenced in yard and does great with the other male foster dog at her foster home. She is fully vetted meaning fixed, current on all shots, heartworm negative and micro chipped. She has some amazing coloured eyes.

Little Red Ruby is a precious Heeler girl that is a tiny thing in size but very big in spirit and determination to live. This girl is just 2 years old and weighs 30 pounds. When she came to Critter Cavalry Rescue she was such a sad little scared girl that was emotionally Distraught and losing fur all over her body because of the stress she had been through. Her story we do not know but we saved her from a kill shelter that could not adopt her out to the general public ever. She was just terrified of everyone she met. In 5 months her Foster mom Barbara has just done wonders to establish a safe place for her to be and to bring a happy smile to her face and a restored beauty to her body and soul. She is good with other dogs and is nice enough to the foster cat. She is high energy and loves to play Outside and with other dogs. She is totally YOUR girl and would like to OWN you totally. She will need to be fed separately so she doesn’t feel the need to protect her food. She can go zoom zoom and then she can just curl up and chill for the rest of the evening. She will Want to sleep with you so get ready. She is almost totally housebroken but does like to have access to pee pads. She would love a farm to run on but we will insist she be an inside dog. She adores her people and she needs to be with you whenever possible. She is Great with children too. Loves them. If you love the Heeler breed she will not disappoint you with her love and total devotion and her amazing intelligence.
