Story
Goo'Day, Mate! How 'r' you goin'? My name is Handsome, and indeed I am!! I am a two year old Australian Kelpie hybrid boy dawg ; many of the current Australian exports are ridiculously good looking (i.e. Liam and Chris Hemsworth...and me!!!) Kelpie's are known to be Alert, Eager, Energetic, Friendly, Intelligent, Loyal. Check, check, and check!!!! My ancestors were bred to guard and herd livestock; Kelpies can successfully muster and drove with little or no guidance. This highly developed skill requires an extremely intelligent dog capable of independent thinking. With working class background, I will do best with a "job" to do; if you don't happen to have goats or sheep to herd, you and your family will become my job...and I take my work very seriously!! I am a happy, playful, and goofy guy. I inherited athleticism and coordination from my ancestors and will make a great hiking/running buddy. I will do best in a home with a yard and an active person/couple/family. I thrive on human interaction and will not do well if let alone for long period of time. At 2 years old and 45 pounds, I have reached my full adult weight, I have a long life ahead of me and need my own hooman(s) to help me become my best doggie self!! So, don't behave as if you have "kangaroos loose in the top paddock," fill out the online adoption application today! I am "stoked" to meet you!!

Story
Welcome Roo. He is a 15 or 16-month-old Kelpie/Shepherd mix dog. He is about 70 or 75 pounds. He is a big and energetic dog. He is great with other dogs and gets along well with all personalities. He loves all people as everyone is a potential playmate. He wants to play, run, walk and hike and would be an excellent companion for an active family. He is smart and ready to take direction and allow you to show him the ropes. He is motivated to please and will make a great running, jogging or hiking companion. He would also be fine as a family dog. Due to his energy and excitement, we think kiddos 10 or older would be his best fit. He could be to exuberant for the little tikes. He is currently in Texas and is healthy and ready for his new forever home. He was pulled off the euthanasia list in one of the local Texas pounds by Mandy and her family. He has been in foster care with other dogs and teenagers waiting for his forever family to find him. He would do great in a fenced yard to have area he can run and play. He can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to have him delivered to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 200 and transport is 185. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to maudreyh@aol.com for an application. See his cute video!! https://youtu.be/NPmXc6GnNgg

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Welcome to Katie's Roadside Rescue!  We are an animal rescue with the primary mission of saving dogs that have been dumped in the country or by the side of the road to fend for themselves.  Fill out an application at http://www.krrtx.org/forms/    Adoption Fee:  $170.00 Nona has had quite the life. She ran free in a neighborhood on her own, had a litter of pups who were saved on New Years Day and a few months later she was finally caught and fixed and taken to a foster home. After a few days she escaped. A few days later she rethought her position in life and went back to the fosters front door and barked to go back inside. She's been there since. We figure after being back on the streets a few days she decided inside living with food, water and love was much better. Since, Nona has really adapted to the family living. She is house trained, loves to play with her toys and the other dogs, loves belly rubs and even nudges for attention. When going for walks, she stays with her foster siblings but she will not allow a leash to be put on - it simply scares her too much. So she will either need a lot of patience in training or she needs a secured home and back yard big enough to get some exercise. Nona deserves a chance to have a permanent home and a great life like all dogs do. Will it be with you? Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. THANK YOU FOR ""OPTING TO ADOPT""

Story
This sweet boy was pulled from death row at animal control. He and his sister didn't have much time left. Vinnie has a very kind personality, shy at first but then very affectionate when he gets to know you. He was a bit frightened of being touched or held by staff here when he first arrived, but he has warmed up and now loves to be hugged and give kisses. We assume he did not receive much affection or care, if at all, but now he is just waiting on his forever home to love. Vinnie does like other dogs, loves toys, seems to be crate trained and house trained. Vinnie is a great boy, with so much potential in the right home, he would probably do best in a quiet home without very small children. We hope that you will give him a chance.

Story
Gorgeous Check Intelligent Check Athletic Check Australian Check NO!!! We are not referring to the glamorous and ever popular Australian actor Liam Helmsworth, we are talking about me, Quigley!! You may be asking yourself " Why does a good looking guy from down under bear the moniker of a character from the movie Quigley Down Udner”? Gotta love my original owner's creativity!! :) My hairytage is the amazing combination of Australian Shepard and Australian Cattle Dog; this unique combination is affectionately known as the Texas Heeler. I inherited awesome traits from both sides of my genealogy. The Australian Shepard is valued for their versatility, trainability and eagerness to please. While Australian Shepards are still highly regarded for working livestock, they excel at dog sports such as agility training and are highly successful as search and rescue, service, therapy, and disaster dogs. Australian Cattle Dogs are also in the herding breed group; they are noted for their hard muscled strength and agility. Their boundless energy and supple gate make them excellent hiking and running partners. It can be noted that these highly intelligent dogs are known to routinely outsmart their owners!! These athletic pups also excel in sports or some type of "work" to keep them mentally and physically challenged. Foster Mum says that my eagerness to please and affectionate personality can be credited to The Shepard side and my quick intelligence came from the Heeler side!! Let's face it folks, I hit the doggy genetic lottery!! Handsome (and modest!!) to boot!! I just celebrated my first birthday!! At 50 pounds, I have reached my fully growed weight!! I am extremely loyal and love my person doggedly (pun intended :) In excellent health, I have a lot of learning to do and a lot of time to do it!! So good on ya' mate, fill of an application and adopt me today!!
