Story
Introducing Sven JuM A Swedish hunk. Just like Sven from that epawsode of Golden Girls. Rose’s young cousin Sven arrives from Sweden by way of St. Olaf to the United States to meet his bride. Comic hijinx ensued and yada yada Blanche goes on a date and then Sven dumps her for his young bride to be. It was enuff to make you laugh your fluehuebertuben off. I am not actually from Sweden, I am from San Antonio by way of San Antonio. But the hunky blonde part is totally a fact. I am a medium energied golden good boy maybe made of some conglomuttration of Shepherd and yellow Labrador. I am between 4 and 5 years old and weighed only 52 pounds upawn arrival but they think I will bulk up to the 60’s once I eat all the flenderhooven. I am great meeting other dogs and know that the social convention is a quick sniffy whiff to the tutenbobels, cheeks of the butt, in actual St. Olaf termuttnology. I have a happy warm sun shiney dispawstion. I can really rock a “I am on my way to Florida for the rest of my life shirt” but is it to retire or surf, you will never know, it’s an enigmutt. If you have been looking to adopt a cool smooth youngish dude, with a nice medium energy level, enuff to play with the young dogs, but not enuff to drive my owner nuts. I am the Sven for you. So do you wanna share a vanskapkaka: a friendship cake, a real word too, with me? Basics: Sven JuM GDR-A-3717- male, 4 years 6 months, 52 lbs but should be closer to 60 lbs now that he is getting proper feeding, Shepherd/Lab mix, good with dogs, yellow, mid energy, smart, happy, playful, really a terrific all around male dog

Needs special attention,
Story
Meet Electra JC (she is one of our special needs dogs due to being deaf) Ever herd (yes spelled wrong purposely) ever herd of Chanel No. 5 parfum. Well, I’m going to make my own perfume line and call it *insert your name* No. 1 because you’ll be numba one in my book. I could sniff you all day and put a dab of your scent behind my ears and on my wrists, or I guess front ankles in my case. I do have to be upfront with you immediately and let you know that I am deaf. I do not react at all to loud sounds or strange noises. This is good news if you are the type of person who doesn’t like a yappy dog that alerts you to ever phantom sound, leaf drop or toad fart. I won’t annoy you. And don’t worry, scents I am a dog, my other scents are heightened compared to a human. I use my sniffer and my eyes to get along just fine. I know I am not quite lap sized, but I fancy myself a lap dog and a girl can do anything if she sets her mind to it. I LOVE LoVe LUV ADORE humans. I love spending time in the yard and when I see a random passerby, I don’t bork or guard the house, I would make a lousy guard dog. I run right up to the gate and set my ears back as a peace sign and wag my tail to wave hello hello new friend, please rub me, pat me, be my friend. I am 3 years old and about 30-35 pounds and potty trained. The ladies are guessing on my mix, but they went with Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix, because I have the shape of a pocket sized Shepherd, but I have tiny dots and freckles on my perky ears indicating that I might have some cow girl jeans….or genes….in my hairytage. I have been around other dogs for a long time. I am good around dogs that leave me alone and pay me no mind. I have a 2 foot imaginary bubble zone around me and I like for dogs to keep out of it. I am just not interested in playing with rumble and tumble fools. I am a gentle lady who prefers to spend my time right smack dab next to a human. I don’t have time for silly play. I don’t do toys either. Scents I enjoy being so close to humans. I do not enjoy being in the crate but Foster Mom is working on that and expects to get me accustomed to it. Foster Mom is also working on communicating with me by hand signals, as words just don’t work on ears that don’t work. I try hard to be a good girl. All I really long for is a home with LOVE, attention and a spot right next to you where I can curl up and cuddle. Basics: Electra JC GDR-A-3696- female, 3 years, 30-35 lbs, Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix, good with dogs that ignore her and really does not want to play or interact with canines, really more of a people person, very loving, wants to be a lap dog, Velcro dog, potty trained, working on crate training, special needs deaf

Story
Meet Mazie JuM Name: My name is Mazie, short for Amazing. Amazing that I am still alive after scrounging for food trying to stay out of the way of meanies while living as a stray in a local neighborhood. *womp womp Debbie Downer alert* Favorite Food: Pizza crust. Tortilla with bean essence and a French fry that touched a hamburger patty but also touched the pavement. Look guys, I am not a foodie yet, I am just now adjusting to being taken care of. At a later date, I plan to have a favorite food. P.S. It won’t be sushi, I want my stuff cooked, now that I am fancy. Age/Weight/Breed: I am about 1.5 years old and weigh 40 lbs. They had me labeled the ever so pupular “Lab” mix, but think I am mixed with something smaller and cute like a Collie or Australian Shepherd. Favorite Song: Girl by Maren Morris. Temperament: Look guys, I was living on my own for a while and lemme tell ya something, not all humans are nice and it was wise that I practiced avoidance when I could. I am gaining weight and confidence, and I must say the weight was much easier to gain, from 31 pounds up to 40 pounds. I am shy at first, but really sweet once you can be trusted. What The Volunteer Has to Say About Her: Mazie would do best in a quiet non busy home setting since she is shy. Even better would be a laid back and confident buddy in the home that can show her how to act. She's great with other dogs and with patience warms up to people. Leash and crate trained. To see her blossom in a loving home will be such a joy.

Story
Hi! My name is Romany! My foster mom says that I am the sweetest, mellow dude around! I caught on to potty training right away, because I love to be outside, especially when there are other doggy friends out!I love going for walks and my humans say I am a very polite leash walker! I like to eat grass sometimes, but I respond very well to the word “NO” even though I don’t like it very much.My favorite things are playing with the resident dog, chewing on stuffy toys, but most of all, snuggling with my humans! I am such a cuddle bug!I just know you are going to just adore me when we meet, so lets meet!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedure completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $500To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
A portion of Moana's s adoption fee has been sponsored by her friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $400.00 will be applied during the contract process Hi! My name is Moana and I am an owner surrender. This beautiful, special needs little girl would love to be your new lap buddy. She's typically a mellow girl but she can sometimes have a feisty side, too-She wants to be near her people and whatever activities are happening! She is very social and absolutely loves people! She loves to snuggle (her very favoritest thing!), loves to play and gets sooooo excited when you talk to her, pet her, or get down on the floor to play with her- whether she's in her wheelchair, playing in her harness attached to a converted Johnny jump up or in your lap while playing with other dogs or kids. She'll need flat, safe surfaces when she's in her wheelchair. She has been exposed to cats once when visiting a friends' house and was curious but non reactive. She will bark if startled or sometimes when she hears another dog bark but settles pretty quickly. My neighborhood has lots of dogs with lots of barking but she's usually non reactive to it. She is potty trained on a schedule and will alert you by getting super active and may whine when she has to go out potty at other times. She sleeps through the night without accidents. She will still have occasional accidents, if she gets super excited (and I'm missing her cues) and sometimes when left alone for extended periods while you're out. I have a safe pen area for her to be in for when I need to go out. Because of her CH, she cannot get up off the floor or sustain walking on her own without assistance. She uses a vest harness with long handles that you use to help her "walk around and go potty. I converted a Johnny jump up and attach her harness to that for playtime on a mat. She has her own wheelchair to get around some. If laying down on the floor, she will "scoot around using her legs to get to where she wants to be (which is wherever you are). She loves to go on walks in her doggy stroller! She enjoys car rides and is often my copilot when I run errands. She is water averse so I feed her 3 times a day with soaked kibble in water or broth along with some wet food mixed in to make sure she gets adequate hydration. She'll drink the flavorful fluids in her bowl to get to the food. I hold her upright in my arms to feed her, then snuggle her after meals. Because she loves her people (and is dependent on them) she does have separation anxiety which is managed nicely with medications. This special little girl needs someone who is home a majority of the time and wants a sweet little snuggle buddy. From the vet team: Hello! I arrived at The Bond Between (fka Secondhand Hounds) as part of the Fighter Fund program due to my Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) diagnosis. CH is a condition resulting from inadequate development of the cerebellum which causes lack of balance/coordination, ambulation, head bobbing, tremors, etc. The vet team has provided my foster with physical therapy exercises to help me gain strength but I will always have this condition. I have a wheelchair and a harness to help with movement but it is also recommended that my future adopter lay down rubber mats to help with my movement. My future adopter should understand my condition and monitor my health with a primary veterinarian. Also, I have an upcoming surgery with an ophthalmologist due to ablation of eyelashes which will freeze and kill the hair follicles to help prevent regrowth of these abnormal hairs. This surgery and eye recheck appointment will be covered by The Bond Between as long as it is performed at the Animal Eye Specialty Center or at The Bond Between Vet Center.

Story
Hi! My name is Rocky and I am from a shelter in Arkansas. From my foster : Rocky is a super sweet, cuddly, goofy little guy! He loves everyone he meets and he steals hearts very easily! He knows basic commands, but is still working on being more polite. He is very trainable with treats! He does great in his kennel overnight. He is the best little buddy and can't wait to find his furever home!! He loves playing with our resident dog and would do great with another dog in the home. He also is an A+ superstar at doggy daycare! He does need a home that can give him great structure as he has a compulsion for water and tends to urinate a lot. We measure his water intake daily to control his urine output. Frequent scheduled potty breaks through out the day works well for him. From the Vet: Hi! My name is Rocky and I am on the lookout for a special furever home with an active and consistent routine! I have been struggling with a lot of overactive and compulsive need to be drinking water causing increased urination. The Bond Between vets have completed several tests to make sure that I am otherwise healthy particularly in regards to my urine/kidney health. No abnormalities were found on my test results therefore the vet believes this increased thirst and urination is due to a behavioral cause. Environmental enrichment and lots of activities like exercise, play time, training etc. will be crucial to my success in my new home! During one of my appointments the vet drained a mass on my side, however since then the cytology of the mass showed no concern and the mass has not grown in size. My adopters should monitor for this and any other masses that may occur in the future and consult a primary care veterinarian for further guidance on my care.
