Story
We adopted Murphy as a puppy and he has been a fantastic dog. He loves people and is great with our 1 year old. Murphy loves to cuddle and be loved. His favorite activities are chewing on his bone and learning new tricks. We have to re-home Murphy because he is no longer getting along with our older dog. We have tried for over a year to make things work and with a toddler in the house we just cannot handle 2 dogs that don't mesh. He does have anxiety and is on medication for it. He needs a lot of reassurance to be comfortable in new situations. He needs to go to a home without other pets. It breaks my heart to see him go, but I know its what is best for both of our dogs. Please message with any questions and know that we will be very diligent in finding the perfect fit for our Murphy.

Dog friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes Rides Well in the Car: Yes Meet the Flower Trio: Hyacinth, Azalea & Bluebell! Born within the windswept beauty of the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, these three 8-week-old sweethearts are ready to bloom in loving forever homes! Bluebell – The bouncy, playful life of the party. This pup is all about fun, games, and sneaky kisses when you least expect them! She is SO friendly, confident and social... and exhibits the strongest herding dog instincts! She is a frequent ankle nipper to get you to go where she wants you to go, so younger kids may not appreciate her antics. She has the most beautiful piercing blue eyes and is always by her foster mama's side. She cannot wait to find her person! These girls are sweet, silly, and totally full of puppy antics — everything from zoomies to dramatic flops mid-play. They're currently working hard on potty training and crate training like the smart cookies they are. While we’re not sure exactly what breeds are in their mix, they definitely have some herding dog DNA, so potential adopters should do their research. Herding breeds are incredible, loyal companions — but they’re not the best match for every household. These pups will thrive in active homes that are ready to keep their bodies moving and their minds engaged. Ready to add a little magic to your life? Submit an application and let the puppy love begin! Adoption Fee: $595.00

Age: Approximately 2 years old and 25 days old Weight: 45.8 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Older considerate kids only Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Seamus is a fun-loving, extremely smart, and affectionate guy who’s always up for an adventure! Whether you’re heading out for a hike, a car ride or just a walk around the neighborhood, he’ll be right there by your side. When it’s time to relax, he’s just as happy to snuggle up on the couch, rest his head on your lap & keep you company until you’re ready to get moving again. Seamus is unique in his focus on his humans. He looks to his fosters for cues, and has been extremely easy to train. He has a strong desire to please. That said, he also enjoys playing with his foster siblings (see video with the Newfoundland) and can entertain himself (see the other video for a demonstration of his ball skills)! Seamus didn’t have the easiest start in life, and was found in a field in Missouri, living independently. As a result, he is shy at first. In his foster home, he has thrived, returning many times over the love and affection he is given. If you think he might be the right fit for you, come meet him and let’s see! Adoption fee: $495.00

Azalea is a gentle goofball who lives for belly rubs and snuggles. She’s got a heart as big as her puppy eyes and loves being your shadow. Story
Age: Approximately 3 years old Weight: 9 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Unknown Potty trained: Unknown Crate trained: Unknown Kylie is a shy, sweet, super submissive beautiful girl who was rescued from a commercial breeding operation, so she is quite fearful of new things. She does very well in a home with one person, likely female, and at least one dog to help her build confidence by teaching her how to dog. Her personality is goofy and playful and so silly, but she'll only bring that out when she's comfortable enough to do so. She needs a securely fenced in yard with preferably a small safe place to go outside for potty breaks throughout the day. She is good with potty training on a schedule, is quiet in a crate, but isn't ready for leash walking yet. The big world is a scary place for her. She really is the sweetest little thing and she doesn't have a mean bone in her body, but life hasn't been kind to her and she's just learning about what a normal dog is like. If you've got extra love in your heart to give, this is a girl that not only needs it but she will eventually give it back tenfold. If you think you might be the one to show Kylie how much love there is for her, please fill out an application to meet her. Adoption fee $695

Story
Pepper is a three year old aussie mix that is house trained and crate trained. We put her in her crate at night, and during the day-when no one is home. Sometimes she whines a little at night, but not for long. Since Pepper is deaf, we are working on getting her to watch us for directions/encouragement. She knows "sit" and "lay down" and also knows to "come" when we flash the light in the backyard in the dark and also in the house. Pepper wants to be with people all the time and will follow us as we go about chores in the house or yard. She has lots of energy and while she doesn't necessarily bring a ball back, when we throw it she chases it as fast as she can. She gets along with her foster sister well but with Lucy being really shy and Pepper still learning to play with others, they don't play together too much, yet. She has never been aggressive with people or other dogs that we have seen. We don't have cats so cant really speak to that, but she did pretty good with Shiloh, the blind and deaf puppy we fostered for a short time. The little bit we had her on a leash, she did very well and loves to be outside. Pepper is really doing well and just wants to be loved and kept busy! Typical Aussie! It's hard to remember she's deaf! Although she slept through that very loud thunderstorm the other night! All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.org. All dogs have an adoption fee of $300 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.
