Story
Gwen is approximately 5 months old and is a Australian shepherd blue heeler mix. When we got her we were told multiple things that turned out to not be true but we were okay with that. What made us decide to rehome are the following reasons: 1) she does not do well with cats 2) she is teaching our other puppy bad habits (breaking him from being potty trained, helping him destroy stuff, barking at everything) 3) she is a barker where our other puppy was not She is very sweet, loves being a lap dog, affectionate, loves attention, and honestly wants to please her masters. If she would do good with our cats honestly we would work to keep her but she has already injured them once before and we are afraid she will try again. We are looking for her to go to a home that will give her all the attention she deserves. She's a very sweet girl who will make anyone happy. Just don't have cats

Story
Meet Beckett - an American Stafffordshire Terrier mix with an unknown background. With a past that definitely denied him of being a dog he came to rescue with horrible ear infections, intact and heart worm positive. While the ear infections are gone, they left him totally deaf. Now, he is neutered, heart worm negative and UTD on vaccines, heart worm prevention and flea/tick protection. Now, he is searching for his forever home. One in which he would do best being the only male dog with absolutely no cats. He is low maintenance, loves a comfy couch or dog bed to lay at your feet or by your side. His forever home must be committed to continue teaching him how to enjoy being a dog, enjoying his exuberance excitement and teaching more hand signals would be nice too! More info about deaf dogs may be found at: deafdogsrock.com and kellerscause.com Foster mom may be reached at 618-806-2672 or sheilazimmermanroe@sbcglobal.net

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Because of the hold on adoption events in the Pet Stores, we are processing adoption applications online, by phone, and we are asking you to send us a video tour of your home, showing where the pet will be living and of your yard. Meet and greets will likely also be quite different, using masks, plastic gloves, Clorox wipes, and anything that will keep everyone safe. An application must be submitted in order to start the process of adoption. The application does not obligate you until the adoption is final. Thank you to all who choose to adopt. Pets in need are not on hold and need us to keep rescuing and adopting them. Our online adoption  application  is at: https://piedmontpoundpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4303  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
