My family adopted Odie from our local dog shelter a few months ago as we already have an Australian Shepard, and we were ready to introduce another dog into our home. Odie came from a household where he was neglected and he is now a very loving and grateful dog. We have two teenaged sons and a busy home with friends coming and going, and Odie becomes very anxious and tries to bite visitors. He also attacks our cat whenever he sees her. She now lives in the basement. Unfortunately, we own a business and cannot invest the time necessary to train Odie to correct his behavior. We will keep him as long as it takes in order to find a new home.

Wylie is a wonderful dog. He is absolutely a BIG part of our family. We rescued him when he was two, and unfortunately, he has some anxiety/protective tendencies that make him unsafe for children. My wife is pregnant, and we can no longer care for him. He should ONLY be adopted by a family that has grown children or no children. He will require strict "introduction" routines for people that come into your home. He craves attention, and he loves snuggling and sleeping with his family. He's very timid of strangers and visitors, and he is very protective of his family. He should not be left alone with non-family members or children (has bitten visitors before). He will do very well in a home without children and space to run. He's very active. We run with him on a leash about 3 miles a day.

Meet Rocket! he transferred to us from another rescue. His finder really wanted to keep him but her older dog did not like Rocket so she helped to get him healthy again. Rocket was in rough shape when he was found. He tested positive for Lyme disease and Demodex. After a few weeks of medications and baths he is now looking for a family. Rocket is an Australian Shepherd mix that loves people and attention. He is a medium sized guy at about 45 pounds and walks great on a leash. He shows signs of potty training. He did great with the cats at the shelter but still recommend a slow intro with them as he does like to chase. Rocket would love another active dog to play with. We really can't say anything negative about this guy. Someone will be lucky to get him, so apply quick he won't be here long!!Rocket's adoption fee is only $150. This includes: Bordetella Vaccine, DHPP Vaccine, Microchip, Flea Treatment, Dewormer, & Spay/Neuter Surgery. As well as age appropriate 4DX Testing & Rabies Vaccine!

Due to the Coronovirus COVID 19 and the disruption to our daily lives, we are not accepting applications from further than 2 hours from Zip Code 44044 effective immediately. Once life is back to normal, this restriction will be lifted. Thank you for your cooperation. * * * * * * * * Boe came into the rescue from an Amish puppy mill. One of our volunteers went to pick up another dog they were surrendering and they ended up giving us Boe also. Sadly, this handsome guy has lived outside on a chain his entire life. However, he is an 85 pound sweet teddy bear. For the first time ever, Boe is learning to live in a house and feel what it is like to be a normal dog and a loved member of a family. He would do best in a home with another dog so he has someone to learn from. As expected, he is not house trained but his foster family is working on it. age: 6 years birthday: March 1, 2014 adoption fee: $350
