Story
About 2/3 months ago my roommate and I decided to rescue her from a terrible situation she was in. We took her to the vet to find out she has a very rare case of a fungal infection. She is on medicine and needs a home we’re not only they’re able to provide her with the medical attention she needs but also the physical attention she wants. She loves to run, swim, and play fetch. She’s a vocal dog and a good dog in general however I’m not able to provide her with what I feel she deserves. She’s 4 years old with a beautiful soul and I truly want what’s best for her.

Story
Due to the Coronovirus COVID 19 and the disruption to our daily lives, we are not accepting applications from further than 2 hours from Zip Code 44044 effective immediately. Once life is back to normal, this restriction will be lifted. Thank you for your cooperation. * * * * * * * * Boe came into the rescue from an Amish puppy mill. One of our volunteers went to pick up another dog they were surrendering and they ended up giving us Boe also. Sadly, this handsome guy has lived outside on a chain his entire life. However, he is an 85 pound sweet teddy bear. For the first time ever, Boe is learning to live in a house and feel what it is like to be a normal dog and a loved member of a family. He would do best in a home with another dog so he has someone to learn from. As expected, he is not house trained but his foster family is working on it. age: 6 years birthday: March 1, 2014 adoption fee: $350

Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Bandit is a very friendly and outgoing 5 year-old neutered male who looks like a mix of Aussie, Basset Hound, and Husky--an interesting combination for sure! He came into an overcrowded rural county dog shelter as a stray so we have no history on his previous life. The shelter staff suspected that Bandit had what is commonly referred to as “Collie nose”, a relatively benign autoimmune disease that changes the normal “cobblestone” appearance of the nose to a smooth, flat, and shiny texture. This diagnosis was confirmed by our vet. There is no evidence that Bandit has any systemic problems as a result of the disease so it appears that only his nose is affected. Bandit is now taking the immune suppressant Atopica (cyclosporin) daily to manage this disease and doing well on that. He will need to continue that prescription medication for his entire life. Bandit is a very friendly and outgoing guy with people. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and enjoys playing with them on occasion. He can be vocal and pushy when meeting dogs on a leash though but he’s all talk and is fine with others once he has a chance to get acquainted with them. If there’s another dog in Bandit’s home, he would probably prefer it be a spayed female. He would also do fine in the home as an only dog so he could soak up all the love and affection his humans have to offer. Bandit walks nicely on a leash, seems to enjoy a bubble bath, and has been well-mannered in his foster home. This fluffy short guy with the long body and short legs weighs about 42 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Bandit. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Bandit and to submit an online application.

Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   This adorable 1.5 year-old dog is Rally who looks to be a mix of Aussie and Corgi. He was surrendered to a county dog shelter by his family who could no longer care for him. We don’t know what circumstances led to him losing his home but the shelter was told that Rally has had seizures in the past but was not on any medication. From the shelter, he went into a foster home where he was observed closely for over a month and no seizures were seen. Rally then made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could find himself the perfect new  home. He’s been an outstanding dog since he’s been with us—excellent crate manners and likely to be housetrained although we can’t guarantee that. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. Rally walks nicely on a leash and would make a great hiking, walking, or jogging buddy for his new family. He’s a very friendly guy with people and his beautiful smile is sure to make each day a little brighter for his family. Rally weighs about 38 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. Story
Please contact Marty (marty@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet. Mama Lady came to Paws and Prayers with her puppies but unbenownst to us, Robbie was left behind. Robbie was tring to get food for himself and Lady as she was in the family way. Robbie got his paw caught in a trap and we were told that Lady stayed by his side. He had part of his foot cut off. When we heard the story we had to get the entire family to Paws and Prayers. Robbie is about 55 pounds, 3 to 4 years of age, very settled, gets along with other dogs and loves to cuddle with humans and get his belly rubbed. Lady is about 45 pounds and 2 o 3 years of age. She is a little shy but gets over it and does love her people.  Generally we charge $200 per dog but you can adopt both for $300. They are spayed and nuetered, up to date on all their shots, heartworm negative, on flea and heartworm medications and live with other dogs in their foster home. They do not chew and are completely housetrained and crate trained. Please do our application at www.pawsandprayers.org and if you have any questions email marty@pawsandprayers.org .  Lady needs Robbie so we are adopting them together for $300. They need a real fence and lots of love.
