Story
Bo lives in Arkansas.  All questions regarding Bo should be directed to Gail's Pets Second Chance's email. This is Bo. He is an 8 year old Aussie mix and was adopted from us four years ago. His mom is very sick fighting cancer and can no longer care for him. We are looking for a home for Bo. He loves every person he meets. He loves to play with squeaky toys and go for long walks. He gets along with dogs as long as they don't get in his face.Bo needs to have a family that has a fenced back yard as he will run after squirrels and deer if left loose. He just had all of his booster immunizations this past fall, and also received a 1 year heartworm preventive last month and weighs 74 pounds. Bo is just a big teddy bear of a dog who loves laying on the couch with you. He desperately needs a family. Please contact Gail's Pets  via email at gailspets@hotmail.com if you can give Bo a home and make sure to include the city and state you live in. We will need to have pictures of your yard and also where in your house Bo would be allowed. Bo resides Arkansas. Please contact Gail's Pets via email at gailspets@hotmail.com to discuss this dog. You can find our adoption application by going to www.Gailspets.org and clicking on the Adoption Application tab. The application, when completed and submitted, will be electronically sent to Gail’s email address. **NOTE - The breed(s) and age listed for the dogs are estimates given by our vet unless we note that a dog is pure bred.If you live in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio or on the East Coast, we work with a wonderful transport company that takes extra special care of the precious cargo that they deliver to anxious new families. Please email us at gailspets@hotmail.com for a listing of their standard stops.**Ozark Mutts and Stuff is listing this dog as a courtesy to another rescue. Story
River is as beautiful as her name. A strong brave spirit who loves life! River was found by two senior ladies with her 7 litter mates as older pups under a very tall bridge in a rural area in Arkansas in July 2018. They were fed for several days and after the ladies won them over, they were able to hike them up the deep ravine to safety. ArkanPaws was called to assist in finding them homes when the ladies were unable to place all of the puppies themselves. River is an alpha girl. The other dogs respect her, but she is very playful with puppies and enjoys running in the yard with them. Her smile is a constant and she loves food. She still guards her food dish, which comes naturally to her since she was abandoned at a young age, so her new foster will be working with her on that. Her tail is shaped like a deer and is so adorable when she is happy! River will make a great walking or hiking partner. She is an active girl but she is also mellow. She will be great for watching a movie and hanging out when I'm ready to take a break, or ready to go for a walk if I want some fresh air. She's potty trained and kennel trained. She is great with kids, dogs and cats, and is a medium sized dog at 55 lbs. River is less than 2 years old, and appears to be an Australian Shepherd and Rottweiler mix. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. We can easily arrange for transport to Rhode Island, but she is currently in Conway Arkansas. We are NOT registered to adopt to Massachusetts adresses. Sorry for any inconvenience. We are registered in Rhode Island. River's adoption fee is dependent on location.  ##413218##

Story
If you are interested in PRESTON or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to sarahbeth.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. PRESTON's smile may be the first thing to draw you in, but spend a few moments with him and you’ll meet the perfect little prince his foster family has grown to adore! PRESTON's foster mom is "oh so gentle." She also says he is super smart and easy to train. He is very responsive to cues from his canine foster brother as well. Basically, PRESTON is eager to please all around him. When it's time for a walk, PRESTON does an adorable full-body stretch by the backdoor. When PRESTON is your walking buddy, you’ll catch him sniffing the neighborhood and happily greeting each dog, cat, and human that approaches. Of course this jovial guy is both dog and cat friendly. PRESTON loves being outdoors but also loves following his foster parents from room to room. He chooses to lay nearby where they are sitting. He’s an absolute best friend to everyone in his foster home. He is also a rock star at doggy daycare, earning a gold star for behavior on each visit. PRESTON is house trained, crate trained, and know to keep his paws off your human food- though he might gaze at you while you are eating. You won’t mind him staring on bit, because PRESTON has the most beautiful deep golden/green eyes. Meeting PRESTON means you will surely fall under his spell. We at the Rescue certainly have. His happy and kind demeanor will keep a constant smile on your face. Fill out an application to have PRESTON join your family today! PRESTON does really enjoy the company of other dogs. We would love for his forever home to have at least one other resident pup. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our Nashville, Knoxville and some New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com). We also use Pet Express Tupelo (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com/). For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport). Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! Story
Hi my name is Kobe. I am a 10 Month old Husky/ Border Collie Mix. I love other dogs and love to run and play. Because I am still a young boy I have lots of energy. Love running in big yards with my friends. Good with all children and I just love to lay and cuddle with them, once I've tuckered myself out. I am house-broken but sometimes get a little excited and have accidents, I really don't mean too though. I am really not to sure how I would be with cats as I have never seen one. If you do adopt me would you please give me plenty belly rubs and play fetch with me? Maybe you could even show me someday what a cat is.

Story
Vanna is a very sweet beautiful girl whose owner dumped at a rest area on the I-20 in Van, Texas. She is such a faith companion that she never left the rest area, she sat and waited for her owner to return. We had a hard time trying to get poor Vanna into the car as she just wanted her family to come back for her. She is great with other dogs and very loving. Vanna has a gentle temperament and very tentative to her surroundings. She is all around a great companion for any family. Please open your heart and home for Vanna she deserves a family that's gonna love her forever.
