Wasabi and his sister, Shushi entered our rescue within hours of being born. Their mom, Lola, is also in our rescue. This is a fun-loving family who gets along with the other dogs in their foster home. If you are looking for two puppies, Sushi and Wasabi are very bonded. However, we will consider adopting them out separately -- as long as there is at least one other dog in the adoptive home.If you are interested in either or these two or their mom, please contact us.

Story
We received a call late one evening telling us that a stray dog wandered on their property and was whelping her puppies. We asked them if they were able to take the mama and her newborns into their house. They refused. We made some phone calls and secured a foster home then drove out to pick up Lola and her puppies. When we got there we were shocked to see that they had put the mama and her newborns into a TINY 24" hard crate. There was barely enough room for mama to even move. As a result, she laid on two of her puppies, killing them.Lola is an excellent mama to her pups. She looks after them and protects them. Lola and her two puppies (Sushi and Wasabi) are ready for homes of their own. Lola does not do well in crates and has some separation anxiety. She will do best in a home where she in not left home alone for long periods of time. Lola enjoys being loved on. She also loves playing with the other dogs in her foster home.
