Hank and Heidi on Facebook Hank and Heidi are 18 month old English Setter siblings that came into our rescue because of a serious health issue in their current home. They are cage and house trained and have been with this family since they were about 6 months old. They are so sweet and adjusting well in foster care. They are not a bonded pair and can be adopted separately. Potential adoption candidates should have field bred English Setter experience and as Heidi is HIGH ENERGY, she needs a safe fenced in yard. Basil's Facebook Page Basil is a 5-7 year old Orange and White English Setter. His owner had to give him up and reached out to IBR for help. He was in rough shape and I was rather appalled at the condition of his coat as it was full of matts throughout and it looked like he had urine stains in his fur. He has been groomed and some of the stained areas should grow out and he is looking better everyday. Basil has suffered some neglect or sure and is slow to trust, but doing better in his Chicago foster home. We really don't know what his living situation was with his previous owner, but he will need a kind thoughtful patient loving home. We are only looking for a new home in the Chicago area and he must have a safe fenced in yard and we also want him to have a confident doggie buddy to help him adjust to his new life. We cannot process applications from other states. Hi!  My name is Scarlett!  I am a 5 year old mixed breed who was rescued in Houston, Texas!  I was found as a stray and no one claimed me. I couldn't believe it! I needed a spay and dental and some TLC when I was found and I am loving this rescued life. I am currently being fostered with many other pups, and doing great. Like all new adoptions, time and patience to adjust to a new home is necessary, but once you give me both, I'll do great with your schedule and routine!  Because I am a rescue, no breed is known, so my listed breed is just a guess, but I sure do look like a purebred setter! I have been around young children and done very well. I like the looks of cats...but I think they’d be too fun for chasing so just dogs please! Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and onceapproved a meet and greet with the dog.
