You must submit an application to be considered to adopt or to set up a meet and greet. Fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/cat-adoption-application It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step.  Chewy picked Doc as the winner of the best looking plus-size cat in DFW! His photo shoot is 2/28, and we can’t wait to post his modeling debut photos.  Meet Doc and Baby, a Bonded Pair. Doc and Baby's owner passed away recently. Her son had promised her he would care for them and she left extra money in her will for their provisions. Sadly, her son took the money and abandoned these precious cats. We scooped them up and promised to find them a second happy, loving home.  What's up Doc! Doc is more outgoing and social, and even at a plump 18 lbs he wants to be in your lap, or at least snuggled up next to you! He is inquisitive, really funny and interHe is a Shorthair Exotic mix. And a really lovely companion.  Nobody puts Baby in the corner! This stunner is Baby. She's a beautiful, Red Flame Point Siamese with piercing blue eyes. She likes gentle pets and is shy at first, but once she settles in, she wants in your lap and to hang out with you. She is calm, quiet, and a sweet girl. She is on a special diet, but it is easy to do and no big deal if she gets into other food.  Baby and Doc are healthy and up to date on all vaccines, fixed and chipped. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue and meow! ##522733##

Story
Grumpy is named grumpy because of his cute little grumpy face not because of his personality, but he is a sweet, adorable boy. He is about 9-10 years old and has had full senior bloodwork. Other than a cold when he arrived, he is a healthy boy. Grumpy gets along with other cats and would probably would do well in any home. He is a mellow boy. Grumpy is on our seniors for senior special. For adopters 60 and older, his adoption fee is $50. Otherwise, his adoption fee is $75. If you are interested in adopting Grumpy, please email us at merlinshoperagdollrescue@gmail.com. He is in a foster home in Ennis, texas. His adoption fee is $75 or $50 for senior adopters. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states. Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email. YOUNG CAT COMPANION POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions.

Story
Candy is just as sweet as her name. This tiny girl, less than four pounds, is solid white with blue eyes. She is so tiny she is actually a bit fragile. No small children. No dogs. She would do better in a quieter, easy-going home. We will be very particular where this sweet, tiny girl goes. She really is not special needs even though she is a tripod. The only thing she needs is a short litterbox. If you are interested in this tiny girl, please email us at merlinshoperagdollrescue@gmail.com. She is in a foster home in Ennis, Texas. Her adoption fee is $250. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. Story
Max is a 3 year old Brown Tabby with white Persian. Max was surrendered for litter box issues, but we have not seen those here. We will be looking for an experienced Persian adopter in his case And one that will be willing to keep an eye on his litter box habits and contact us if help is needed.
