Story
Gus is approximately 9 years old. We adopted him almost two years ago from a shelter in New Hampshire. Gus is very playful, but has difficulty understanding when other dogs, children or adults are not interested in playing with him. He loves to go for walks but can demonstrate leash aggression as he comes upon other dogs in the neighborhood. He enjoys snuggling with his person and can be needy in terms of the amount of attention he seeks from his owners. Gus would be suited to a home that has a large fenced in yard ( he also loves the dog park) or someone who could take him running or hiking. He currently takes medication at night as he can become anxious and cry /howl if he does not. At present we are not in a position to give Gus what he needs as we now have grandchildren and health issues that prevent us from giving him the amount of exercise required.
