Austin Pets Alive! (APA!) is a 501(c) 3 (nonprofit) organization run almost exclusively by dedicated volunteers.

We are implementing innovative and progressive programs in Austin after studying the best practices of other cities who are no-kill or are in the process of becoming no-kill.

Additional adoption info

Step one:
Visit us. We require that you spend at least 30 minutes with a pet before filling out an application.

Step two:
Meet with an adoption counselor and fill out an application in person.
