Dog rescue in Hesperus, CO

I started The POM E RANCH because of the high numbers of small dogs that were being put to sleep in the shelters, I partner with another rescue POM TO THE RESCUE and we work with many rescues to help save as many as we can from the shelters. We save mainly spitz breed dogs such as the POMS>SCHIPERKEEGERMAN SPITZ and crosses therin. WE take is a limited amount as we do not belive in just housing dogs and cleaning them up and presenting them to new owners. WE do not let any dogs go unfixed and we DO NOT SHIP. We strive to make the dogs more family oriented and will NOT lie about the shortcomings of each dog. WE fed a grain free dog food and we do the best to insure our dogs. They are all Vetted before being adopted.

Rescue FAQs

We take dogs from high kill shelters in SO CAl and here in the northstate, We have relocated to the Hesperus Durango Farmington Aras of New Mexico and Colorado..we are starting slow here to see if we can fnd our homeless pommies new forever homes...We make sure all dogs are healthy and we strive to make them better canine housemates, we are not like other rescues who only put the dogs in kennels until they are ready to be adopted we take them on trips we take them on every day life excursions, we will not lie to you about any dog, you will find out thier bad habits as well as their good habits..we look for the "right" home for each dog. We try to get them in to new homes that fit them..we want adoption to be the option!!please adopt dont shop. WHen you save the adopt one dog, you actually save two..the one you saved and the one who takes its place.

Additional adoption info

We take applications for each and every dog, all dogs are spayed/neutered and UTD on shots before adoption, we also do home checks and vet checks and strive to match each dog with the right person..Some of our dogs are not housebroken whiel we try to traine them some need a little patience, most of our dogs are trained to be a part of a household not to be left outside. They are all sweet and wonderful dogs that deserve a chance at life!
