Rescue FAQs

Currently, NKRER is located in Shawnee, OK, locating and rescuing tornado displaced pets. If pets are not claimed after a certain amount of time (we extend this as much as possible, as we know the families are displaced as well), the pets are put up for adoption. YES, THESE ANIMALS ARE TORNADO SURVIVORS!!!

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees are as follows, $75 for dogs under 1 year of age, $50 for dogs over 1 year of age. Animals that are not completely vetted when adopted, will have a contract that MUST be fulfilled of having the pet spayed or neutered within a predetermined amount of time, if this is the case a $50 refundable deposit will be required.
