Imagine Peace for Pups

Animal rescue in Portland, OR

Imagine Peace for Pups Rescue started as an independent rescue. Lisa Clark our founder started networking dogs in high kill shelters through Facebook, in 2012. She knew that rescue was the path her life was going to take. In 2013 Lisa Nelson, a high school friend, saw a little dog that Lisa Clark had shared on FB and offered to foster to get him out of the shelter. Little Dobby was the first dog that was rescued from a shelter under what we know today as Imagine Peace for Pups Rescue -and that's when the Lisa's decided to officially start a rescue. Without much money in the bank, they filed for and were approved as a federal 501(c)3 non-profit charity.

IPFP is an all foster rescue. Without foster homes and donations, lives cannot be saved. Currently IPFP has 20+ fosters in WA and Or and they are always looking for loving homes to join the family.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters must fill out an adoption application and submit to a home visit by one of our volunteers. If all goes well and we choose to adopt to them they must fill out and sign an adoption agreement. Our fee is $300.00 per adult and $350 per puppy. The fee includes up to date on vaccines (except Bordetella), vet evaluation, worming, micro chip, and spay and neuter if the dog is old enough. If the dog is too young, adopters must fill out a spay/neuter agreement and provide a $100.00 refundable deposit. If we do not get proof of spay/neuter by the time the dog is six months old, our contract states that we may reclaim the dog.
