Orabelle is another recent addition to our open cattery.
Orabelle is a domestic long hair, female cat, aged 5 years. She has a gorgeous, long, chestnut coat and is simply beautiful. Orabelle was a stray cat, and we are determined to improve her lot in life. Life on the streets was not nice to this girl. She came to us with a kitten in tow and an old healed fracture. Her gait is slightly affected, but our vets do not think it diminishes her quality of life. She is very sweet, but a little nervous about life in our open cattery.
Orabelle tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She is fully vaccinated and spayed as well. She is also now receiving preventatives for fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites and ear mites.
Our beautiful girl would much prefer to be in a nice, quiet home of her own. If she sounds like the purrfect match to you, come meet Orabelle! For more information, please email Stephens County Humane Society at schs@att.net, or call us at 580-252-7387 (PETS). Our animals are spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, and treated for ticks, & fleas. Cats are tested for FeLV & FIV; and dogs are tested for heart worms.
Normal adoption fee for cats is $75.00; and $100.00 for dogs, but we frequently have specials running and/or animals who have had their adoption fee sponsored, so ... call us! Let us help you find your next fur-baby!

We use a simple adoption application/agreement. To complete the application process, we ask for reference letters from the adopting family's veterinarian and two character references. Adoption fees are $100.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats. Fees include spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination and age appropriate vaccinations.
We have 3 main requirements for our dog adoptions.
1- We require a fenced yard
2- If you rent, we require a letter from the landlord stating
pets are permitted in their residence.
3- If you have dogs currently, arrangements must be
made for a meet and greet to ensure all parties are
agreeable.

We are a Humane Society and Rescue organization serving Stephens County, Oklahoma and it's communities. We work closely with local municipal animal control departments in providing shelter to abandoned, abused, and surrendered animals, and finding homes for as many adoptable pets as we possibly can. We stress spaying and neutering as the one key way to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens.
