My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please note, we are a Texas based rescue that transports our pups once
they are adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes, so much is known
about their temperament, training level and personality. We know adopting
a dog sight unseen can be daunting, so we are happy to share additional
videos, photos and even let you Facetime with the pup. We are primarily an
equine rescue, but do assist with a small number of dogs annually. We are
happy to provide references from previous adopters if needed. Thank you
for wanting to adopt!

There is a children's song that contains the line "if you're happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it". That describes me perfectly. I am always smiling and trying to lick foster mom's chin.

I am an 8 week old, small, outgoing, little boy border collie hybrid!! I currently weigh in at a hefty 8 pounds, so will likely be a medium dog size of 35 -45 pounds.

I love humans. I greet everyone with enthusiasm and with lots of puppy kisses. My favorite thing to do is wag my tail as fast as I can. I try and wag it all the time, but sometimes I have to sleep.

My favorite place to sleep is in foster mom's lap. It takes a lot of concentration on my part to be very still and quiet; I am just so happy all the time. I also like playing with toys, going for walks, and snuggling.

I get along great with other dogs, kids, cats, and I even try to be friends with my foster family's horses!! Foster mom doesn't seem to like that idea so much as I am about the size of the horse's hoof!!

I have a joyful zest for life. I would love to explore the world with you! I have a lot to learn and need someone to help me learn to be my best self!

Additional adoption info

Hay Dude Equine Rescue, in Boerne, TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs, are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each pup comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $250.00 FOR LOCAL DOGS AND $300.00 FOR PUPPIES. ( Local is in the state of Texas)! Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.

IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION, TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $450.00 for adult dogs and $500.00 for puppies. We transport all over the country!!

All our dogs are socialized and we try to provide you a good understanding of the dog’s personality.
