We adopted Bubba (Oliver) from a shelter in North Carolina 8 years ago- He stole our hearts with his affection and energy! He has moved with us 5 times since then, he has a sister Annabel ( Jack russell beagle mix) who is his best friend and companion. He loves going for walks and playing frisbee or ball, and he is no doubt food motivated 🥕(carrots are his favorite snack! ) He loves to be around people especially other men. He is a soft, loving, snuggle bug. Children make him a little nervous. He is able to play well with other dogs as long as they are introduced properly. We have enjoyed the dog park many times and have good dog friends. We are looking for a patient loving home for bubba, and someone who enjoys snuggling up with him during a movie and willing to share a snack!

Story
Arlo is looking for his fur-ever home!  Arlo came to us when his owners both had to be hospitalized.  He has been around toddlers and children and is great with him.  He is also great with other dogs.  He does chase cats, but takes correction very well.  He has never shown any signs of aggression to people or animals.  He is a great dog!  Arlo is a runner (due to his breed) and is difficult to recall, so he will either need to be in a home with a fenced in yard, or a family who will always keep him on a leash.  Arlo is about 3-4 years old and is currently about 30lbs.  Arlo is currently in a foster home with kids and a small bichon frise.  He is also crate trained. An approved adoption application is required. The $200 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; and heartworm testing. Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.

Henry's bio coming soon! All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. In order to qualify for ALIVE’s program all of the following steps must be met: • You must be at least 24 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age. • Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided. • If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease. • All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed. • Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet. Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis in the Memphis area over 4 months of age is $275.00, a dog under 4 months of age is $300.00 and a cat is $150.00. Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis to the Nashville area is $325.00. The $325.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Nashville area. Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis to the Chicago area is $475.00. The $475.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Chicago area. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers.
