Story
Red is a fantastic dog. Has a personality that will definitely brighten your day. He's a snuggler it's his favorite hobby besides getting the doggie zoomies while outside. He is fantastic with kids and other dogs as long as they don't aggressively play with him or he gets grumpy. He loves his treats after going outside. Toys are hit and miss. Loves to run. With that being said he has to be on a leash, cable run, or fenced in yard.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Say hello to Lewis! This handsome guy was found with another dog as a stray. Both had collars but an owner never came forward to claim either one of them! We made both dogs Diamonds and thank goodness we did! Lewis is searching for his furever home. He loves long walks, toys and snuggles. He has not been around other dogs recently, therefore we will likely need to do multiple, slow intros with other dogs to be sure it is a good match. We think a mellow dog would be best for him. Lewis can live with a cat... He will chase at first so a dog saavy cat used to dogs would be necessary. Lewis is working on his leash skills and would benefit from a family who is willing to work with him on that. He can be protective of his people and surroundings but we believe a little work on training techniques for this would enable him to work thru it appropriately. He just needs a little direction from his people! Because of his size, we are recommending kids 13+ only. This guy deserves a chance...is it with you?Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, UTD on Vaccinations, deworming, and flea treatment.

Story
Hi! My name is Queenie! I am 5 yo and weigh 32 lbs. I am short and overweight. I walk well on a leash and ride well in the car. I love to be petted. I have a submissive temperament and a medium energy level. I am a little more energetic and outgoing and my brother, King. I like to bury my food. I am very bonded to King. We need to be adopted together. We both get along well with other dogs and we get along with cats. We are good with children. We would enjoy long walks, hiking, camping, boating, or just hanging out around the house with our people. We are ready to go and waiting for our new forever home! Email is the best method of contact.

Story
Woody is a un neutered 9 year old purebred rabbit hunting beagle. He is playful, happy, and energetic, although older, he loves to run and is still capable of hunts. Hes a very nice dog, he loves to cuddle but enjoys the outdoors as well. He has been abused by a previous owner before we adopted him into our family, causing him to have separation anxiety, trouble with loud noises and sometimes meeting new people can trigger him and he WILL get defensive. He is a sweetheart and gets along well with cats and kids but he can be very energetic in the house and that could potentially cause some issues. Obviously since he is a beagle and his breed is meant for hunting, he is not a full-time house dog, a fenced in yard or a large kennel is required for running and exercise, he is known for getting loose from collars, kennels and harnesses. There are several concerns I have about relocating him, it is very likely he could escape and run away and get lost trying to come home.

Story
I'm Such a Good Girl!Bella Blossom was born around November 21, 2009 and weighs around 40 pounds.   She is a wonderful mature lady who was left with us as her human father left for a new job in Florida.  She is wonderful with other dogs and did come with another small dog companion, but we feel she'd be fine as an only dog as long as her humans were around much of the time.  It seems that Bella is reactive to other dogs when she is on leash.  It may well be a leash thing as can happen, because she is great with all the dogs - large and small - here.  Otherwise she is fine on leash and she will nicely hang with you outside while you do your chores.  She is very good with children, nicely house trained and enjoys car rides - sadly she didn't get to take that one to Florida.....  Bella feels cats are too much fun to chase so her next home must be cat free.  Bella had a senior wellness panel and it came back that all was well!  We truly hope we can find her another home where she won't be disposed of again and she will be loved and cared for in her golden years.    The Adoption Fee for this dog is $250.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link 'Special Instructions to Seller' if you want to note a particular pet Before you seek to adopt a pet from Joyful Rescues, please read our Pet Adoption page http://www.joyfulrescues.org/pet_adoption.html.
