Meet Scooter! Scooter was dumped in a yard in rural Mississippi and then listed on Craigslist.  The property is a frequent dumping ground for unwanted dogs due to its large acreage and a big home. Charlie’s volunteers were able to get Scooter and he is now being fostered in MS while he waits for a foster or forever home in the north. Scooter is possibly a beagle mix, we aren’t sure. Scooter is around 3 years old and is 14 pounds. Scooter is neutered, up to date on his shots, and good with other dogs. Scooter has not been around children or cats. Scooter is a s a super affectionate dog who's favorite place is right beside you. Scooter would do best in a home where someone will always be home to hold him, love him, pet him, and play with him. Scooter is mostly housetrained (the current foster has a doggy door) and has not been crate trained. Scooter is ready for his forever home- is it yours? Sammy and Rudy are looking for a hero! These beagle boys are 5-7 years old, incredibly sweet, funny, playful, and loving dogs. Upon their arrival into rescue, they found solace in each other's company and have become the best of friends! They snuggle together on their bed, cry for each other if they are not with them, and immediately get excited when they see each other. We can't fathom splitting them up now after their journey. Unfortunately, it is likely that they were heartworm positive for a while prior to receiving treatment. Although they have been treated for heartworm, we believe they both have ongoing coughs as long-term effects. We would love to see these special boys find a fresh start. The adoption fee is a donation of your choice and includes they are neutered, heartworm treated, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and started on monthly preventions.
