Meet Cosmo!Recently returned due to no fault of his own, he is looking for a fresh start. We are really hoping his stay at the shelter is short!! This sweet senior is open to meeting children, other calm dogs, and we are unsure how he would do with cats.If you're interested in meeting me, I am located at the Danville PSPCA on Bloom Rd. -- open daily from 12:00pm - 6:00pm (no appointment needed - all people in the home required to meet the dog before going forward with adoption, along with any dogs in the home with proof of Rabies Vaccine & DHPP Vaccine). Story
Lacy came to our home about 10 years ago. She is aging, and developing some health issues, which so far can be controlled with proper food and regular vet appointments. She is loving and calm, but does tend to bark at unusual noises. Her nose is always to the ground outdoors (the beagle in her) and she has to be on a leash. She has been a very good house pet, but due to some of my own health issues and our current situation, I have decided to try finding a loving, caring home for her where she can receive the attention and companionship she needs. Since she is an older dog and doesn't appreciate a lot of attention from small children (it stresses her), I would prefer someone retired or with older children who will pay attention to her, but not "pester" her. I just want a home for her remaining years where she can be happy.

Story
Posted  9/16/16 Rusty was picked up as a stray from one shelter and transferred to another, this poor guy was passed around like candy.  He is fine with dogs as long as he isn't on a leash.  He is crate trained and housebroken.  He does have resource guarding issues so we will not place his with any children.  He needs a person that is a little dog savy.  Once he gets to know what is expected of him he is a wonderful dog.  He is not the type of dog to be around too many strangers he can be a bit afraid.  Give him a chance and he will be a great companion.  His adoption fee is $175 he weighs about 40lbs.  All the dogs are Spayed or Neutered, Heartworm tested, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and overall Vet checked. We offer a 30 day money back guarantee along with an adoption kit . Application REQUIRED. Adoption fee required.
