Story
Remy is a 4 and a half beagle rat terrier. He was adopted by me and my sisters Dec 17th in 2015 and born Oct 26th, 2015 somewhere in Mississippi. I've been taking him to the dog park since he was 5 months old and he loves it. That being said he only likes the small dog park, big dogs kinda scare him and he tends to charge at them out of fear. He would love it if you had a yard for him to run but the dog park and walks are good too. Remy is a forever puppy I've been told by the vet. He also has a very clean vet history with the worst being a double ear infection 2 winters ago. I take him to Petco about every 2 months for a nail trim but if you can clip dog nails I'm sure he'll let you. Remy would really benefit from some leash training as he pulls on the leash and charges. Remy only grew up with a few men in his life so it really depends on the man if he likes them or not. I leave him about 5 hours a day for work and he's really good. He's also a huge couch potato who loves blankets

Story
Dottie is a loving, energetic companion. She loves toys and loves for you to throw her toys, although whether she will fetch depends on her mood. She also loves to run and is very fast. She wants to please people badly, even when it’s at war with her desire to eat something scrumptious on the counter... sometimes her desire to please wins, sometimes something scrumptious is just too tempting. Dottie loves all people and had a feline best friend but has shown aggression towards other dogs. Taking care of Dottie has become too difficult for me, due to health and physical limitations. We used to have a fenced in backyard but unfortunately experienced a house fire, and have been unable to find another rental with a fenced in yard that allows dogs that I can afford. Dottie needs an owner that will give her the love she deserves and the exercise she needs, and who sees her as the true joy that she is.

Story
I adopted Nola from the Humane Society in 2012. She was just over a year at the time. She got along great with the two cats and my son at the time. She is extremely friendly and loves to be around people. She really enjoys being in the woods. Nola has some hearing and eyesight loss. This has caused her demeanor to change around young children. I have two toddlers in the house and they scare Nola when they come up behind her. As much as I don't want one of my children to get bit, it is not fair to Nola to be in scared in her own home. She is gentle around adults and is a great companion.

Story
Rocky is a 5 year old beagle mix. He is around 30 pounds and definitely considers himself a snuggle bug. He enjoys going on walks, snuggling and having treats. Rocky is great with kids but can become anxious around new strangers. He was quite anxious and scared when he was pulled out of a kill shelter in Florida just a month ago; he has come a long way since then and is ready for his furever home! He is a picky eater but we are working on that! He is being fostered in Kenosha . Contact Dana at dzampanti@gmail.com Adopt fee $350.

Story
Angie is currently living in a foster home in Milton, Wisconsin. Meet Angie! This adorable short, long bodied girl was found in Houston, pregnant and with one of her older puppies. They were saved just in time because Angelina had 5 beautiful babies 2 days later. Their new foster moms could tell neither dog had much interaction with people and were terrified of their new surroundings, but with a lot of love and patience, they began to trust their new caretakers. Fast forward 2 months and it's now Angie's turn to find her forever home. Her children already have placements and she's hoping she'll catch someone's eye! Angie likes women most, but warms up to men with a few extra treats. She'd do best in a home with children 12 and over. She LOVES other dogs and would do best in a home where there are other confident but well mannered dogs for her to play with and continue to gain confidence. She is good with cats. Angie has overcome a lot in her time with her foster family! She loves attention and pets! Angie's favorite things to do are playing tag in the yard with her foster dog family, enjoying a nice bone to chew on, squeaking tennis balls, and she also loves her food and going for walks. Angie is working on getting into a consistent routine with house training and communicating her needs with humans. With a little patience and understanding, we know she'll do great. She is ready to find her loving family. We love her and know you will too! Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please note that preference is given to adopters in Wisconsin, but Illinois adoptions will be considered. will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.
