Story
Peanut is a handsome, 1 year old Beagle who is the son of Sadie, the 2 year old Beagle which we have also posted for adoption for this trip. He is playful, loving, and all beagle. Bot he and his mother Sadie are very calm and quiet for Beagles! He is neutered, up to date on shots, tested negative for heartworms, and microchipped with free registration. He also comes with his interstate health certificate from his veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. Our dogs also come with free 30-days of health insurance which reimburses you for any vet you use for illnesses and injuries which commence during that period, as per the directions in the flier which comes in your adoption packet. Due to social distancing and lockdowns, and in full compliance with the regulations relating to same, we will be delivering him directly to the family which first places an exclusive hold deposit as set out below, arriving on Friday, April 10, in the Chicago/Northern IL, Southern Wisconsin areas along our travel route. He may also be picked up at the PetSmart in Pleasant Prairie, WI, 9887 76th St, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158, on Saturday, April 11, 10 am to 5 pm. PLEASE READ WITH REGARD TO PRICING. Peanut is one of a select few of our rescues whom we believe are purebred or a popular designer blend which we adopt out at a near market rate in order to use those funds to finance our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we provide for free to receiving shelters in the northern U.S. So, instead of only one rescue dog out of Texas, the fee enables us to ready for, and transport, many more puppies and/or kittens to receiving shelters on each of our trips from Houston to Wisconsin every 3 weeks. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis (due mostly to our temperate weather where strays breed year-round and don’t tend to perish due to cold weather.) The COVID-19 situation has made pet homelessness even more dire in South Texas. His adoption fee is $1500. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $500. If you are serious about making a hold deposit, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com or text or call 832-338-7041. We take payments through Zelle, PayPal, CashApp, or we take card numbers over the phone and process them through Square. All of these methods provide a receipt. Holds are handled on a first-come, first-served basis with respect to the first person to place a deposit as instructed by the rescue. His adoption is same day – if you appear and believe he is a good fit, you will be able to take him with you upon payment of the balance of the adoption fee (sales tax applies) and execution of our standard adoption contract. The deposit is refundable so long as you show up prior to expiration of the hold period, should you decide not to adopt him. Showing up is a requirement to receive a refund of the deposit. Thank you for supporting our efforts to bring Texas dogs north to loving homes! You can read more about us at facebook.com/TxRescueRiders (Texas Rescue Riders). Note: As a rescue, we cannot guarantee breed. We rely on owner representations and veterinary opinions.

Story
Rocky is a 5 year old beagle mix. He is around 30 pounds and definitely considers himself a snuggle bug. He enjoys going on walks, snuggling and having treats. Rocky is great with kids but can become anxious around new strangers. He was quite anxious and scared when he was pulled out of a kill shelter in Florida just a month ago; he has come a long way since then and is ready for his furever home! He is a picky eater but we are working on that! He is being fostered in Kenosha . Contact Dana at dzampanti@gmail.com Adopt fee $350.

Story
Frankie is a young (around a year old) spayed female who has loads of energy and lots of love to give. Frankie is in need of a home that will accept her engery and give her the time and ways to burn it off. Frankie loves to run around the yard and play with toys. She will hop right in your lap for lovin and she'll shower you with kisses. Frankie does want to play with dogs but she's not sure how to play calmly, so a patient dog or one equal to her engery would work best for her. Frankie knows sit but could use some help walking nicely on a leash and some other ground manners. She loves people and is ready for a forever home.

Story
I adopted Nola from the Humane Society in 2012. She was just over a year at the time. She got along great with the two cats and my son at the time. She is extremely friendly and loves to be around people. She really enjoys being in the woods. Nola has some hearing and eyesight loss. This has caused her demeanor to change around young children. I have two toddlers in the house and they scare Nola when they come up behind her. As much as I don't want one of my children to get bit, it is not fair to Nola to be in scared in her own home. She is gentle around adults and is a great companion.

Story
Remy is a 4 and a half beagle rat terrier. He was adopted by me and my sisters Dec 17th in 2015 and born Oct 26th, 2015 somewhere in Mississippi. I've been taking him to the dog park since he was 5 months old and he loves it. That being said he only likes the small dog park, big dogs kinda scare him and he tends to charge at them out of fear. He would love it if you had a yard for him to run but the dog park and walks are good too. Remy is a forever puppy I've been told by the vet. He also has a very clean vet history with the worst being a double ear infection 2 winters ago. I take him to Petco about every 2 months for a nail trim but if you can clip dog nails I'm sure he'll let you. Remy would really benefit from some leash training as he pulls on the leash and charges. Remy only grew up with a few men in his life so it really depends on the man if he likes them or not. I leave him about 5 hours a day for work and he's really good. He's also a huge couch potato who loves blankets
