Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Forever Home Wanted: Meet Leia!! Leia is an Armenian Gampr dog, which is a breed used to protect livestock from predators, so she is not the average house dog. Leia is not suitable for City living.  She requires a rural environment to thrive.  Leia was found tied to a tree, in a park, in Huntington Beach around the 4th of July. She was taken to the Orange Co Shelter in hopes that someone would come looking for her. She was scared, so scared she would just sit in the corner of her kennel and hide. She was not put up for public adoption and was immediately put on the euthanasia list. One of our volunteers  spent time with her and asked if we could help...we said yes. Leia is very reserved, shy and unsure of new things and new people. She is currently fostered on a rural hobby farm and is doing great with all the other farm animals and dogs.   She is a big tall girl weighing about 120 pounds.  Email dogs@labradorsandfriends.org or fill out our online application at www.labradorsandfriends.org Leia is located in Southern California. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Sapphires are a girl’s (or guys!) best friend. Oh, hello there! My name is Sapphire and I’m an easy-going, lovable girl. Some might say, I’m a total gem! I’m a 2-year old, 55-pound, shepherd/lab mix. I’m not spayed yet, but I’ll be sure to pencil it in soon. Other than that, I’m a happy, healthy gal! My brother and I were relinquished by our owner, but he already found a new hooman. I know that if I’m a patient good-girl, I’ll find mine sometime soon! I hope that this time I can find a home that can truly love me furever. I promise to love you right back! Not to brag, but I’m kind of the perfect pup. I’m the ideal balance of playtime and snuggles. I love my walks, chewing on bones, and meeting other dogs. However, when I’m done, I have no problem lounging and cuddling up with you! I love being a companion, so I’m happy being wherever you are. I can’t say that I like spending time alone, but I won’t chew up the house either! I’m very well behaved. Speaking of manners, I’m completely house trained and promise not to have any accidents. I’m not very used to being on a leash, but I’m getting better with practice! I haven’t met any cats or kids yet, so I’m not sure what I think about them. I doubt I’d have any problems though since I’m so mellow and sweet! My ideal furever home is simply one with love. I have a big heart and now all I need is someone to share it with. Since I was used to being with my brother, a home with another doggo would be nice, but I’m honestly happy if it’s just the two of us! I know my name is Sapphire, but will you be the hooman who can wash my BLUES away? Let’s get together and find out! My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adopt-today ##607095##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This gentle giant is Oso a german that is shepherd black and brown that weighs in at 75 lbs at the moment.  We received Oso over 1 month ago and he was in okay shape but was a bit skinny and wasn't walking very good.  He was given xrays and blood work it showed that he had tick fever and has been taking antibiotics to take care of it.  He is still in recovery and could use either a foster family or permanent family who will see him thru it.  We are responsible for his medical so that is not an issue.  He gets along with everyone even cats but he does love to eat which is natural for dogs.   If you would like to meet Oso please go to our website at www.stpacossecondchancedogrescue.org and fill out the foster application and we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet.  You will never regret helping a senior get well and healthy he will give you so much love back in return.  Please consider this gentle giant for your home or maybe another senior that needs company.  When you walk him he likes to meet everyone.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by their previous owner on February 15, 2020.Why this pet is the one for you: Orisa is an incredible dog, who is very endearing. She is a very intelligent dog with a high working drive, and will absolutely need a home who has experience owning working breed dogs. She will do best with a lot of ongoing positive reinforcement training, to give her structure and help keep her brain occupied. Due to her high drive and arousal, Orisa gets reactive when she sees moving cars or other dogs. She has been working daily with a trainer to help her learn how to keep herself composed when she sees these things, and her new home will have to keep that training going. Orisa has a lot of fun with training, and her ideal family would think training was a lot of fun, too! Her ideal home would be in a low traffic area, without a lot of cars or other dogs, to help make walks less stressful for her. A fence yard, with a lot of space, would be ideal! She would do best with mature and active owners who have no other pets in the home. Her adoption includes a consult with one of our Trainers, to help best set you and Orisa up for success! If you think you sound like a match, call us today! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 65.5 Age: 1yrs 9mths 1wks
