Story
This lovely lass is sure to win your heart! She LOVES attention is is very sweet. She is quite the acrobat when she wants to be. She is energetic and would do well with an active family. She is currently living with 3 children; including a toddler and a baby. We pulled her and 3 surviving puppies from Harris County. Her puppies have been adopted and now it's her turn to search for an amazing family. She knows basic commands and listens like a pro ;) Absolutely NO CATS! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Texas- My rescue will make all arrangements for me to travel to you as soon as I am adopted. Note: The above bio on the dog reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. We provide adopters current information on our dogs; we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners. Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. Our dogs have been dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), started on heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, vaccinated for bordetella, dhppv, rabies (if age appropriate) and microchipped. If old enough they are spayed or neutered, otherwise it will be noted and under a foster to adopt contract until completed and an additional deposit of $100 will be required- deposit will be refunded upon request and proof of surgery. A transportation fee of $250 is required and covers health certificate to travel as well as transportation. Please be advised that our dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to being transported. Unfortunately, it is not possible to meet the dogs in person prior to adoption. We will Facetime and you may speak with the dog foster family. We only send well behaved, well rounded dogs, sending anything other fails the dogs. We expect our dogs to be adopted by families who understand- these are rescue dogs, they will need time to decompress, routine and stability. We put our lives into saving these dogs- we expect their new families to be prepared for a lifetime commitment before applying- dogs are not recyclable. Please do not send an email inquiring about a dog. Please fill out the adoption application found at https://www.rangersreach.org/ We are 100% volunteer ran and you have no clue how bad it is down here; we try as hard as we can to get through applications as fast as possible. If we spend all our time answering inquires and emails, we have no time to look over applications. Please do not apply until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. We do not hold dogs for any reason. We do try to be fair and go in the order applications are received. If no response, decision or adoption is made we must move on to the next application. Applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will receive that dog.

Story
Meet Chase! He has had a rough start in life and still looks it but won't for long. His hair is growing back and he has lots of playful energy! This boy is something else! For not knowing his past, he is so good in the house, doesn't like going into his crate but once in it he settles in for the stay, he is house trained and knows the doggy door. Never once considered going in the house. He gets along with the other dogs but he does have a jealous streak when other dogs go up to his human, especially male dogs. With that said he either needs to be an only dog OR he needs some patience in training him to share. He sleeps on his bed beside the human bed all night or will gladly sleep with his human if allowed. Chase is a very good boy and has a lot of filling out and growing to do. Guessing he is around 10-11 months old. Please consider giving this great boy a furever home. Apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note all dogs are located in San Antonio, TX. We advertise out of state due to the critical pet overpopulation problem here in the south. We use Your Texas Rescue Connection to transport the dogs to your area. They are all up to date and come with a health certificate. The fee is $170 adoption and $160 transportation = $330. Thank you for considering adopting a southern dog.

Story
Welcome Ford to CCPAL. He is a 2-year-old Rottie/Lab mix from KCAS. He was in the Kerr County Shelter and on the short list for euthanasia when our friends let us know he was a good dog and needed more time to find his forever home. Ford is agile and athletic and will make a great companion. He bonds deeply and will be a good protector of his people. He is very smart and responsive. He just has a protective nature but very attentive and will listen to you when you say they are friends. He is very good with the dominant dogs in the rescue and does not challenge them. He respects their position and only wants to be with the people. He would make a wonderful companion for the woman and family that the man travels. He will be there for you and keep the family safe. We love Ford and cannot wait to find his forever home where he can be loved as much as he loves. He would be perfect for the outdoorsy and active type. He settles down nicely too. He is about 45 pounds and a nice weight at that size. He is shorter than the traditional Rottie but has the look and the bigger head. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. He can be transported with one of the wonderful transporters we work with to Washington, Portland, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Vermont and all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 200 and transport is 185. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to maudreyh@aol.com for an application. See his cute video
