Story
I fostered this beautiful black, male Bombay cat along with 3 other of its brothers & sisters. I have fostered this cat since June & can no longer continue caring for it; I cannot keep up with 5 cats: the mother, the 4 young cats, and my 12-year-old indoor Female Dachshund, who isn't rabid about the cats but hasn't been happy about our new guests. This cat loves to eat, so you need to keep an eye on his diet. I'm hoping that he goes to a home where there are no dogs, or if there are, the dogs must get along with cats and must be calm. Personality & Important Details: He is the laziest out of the litter! His activity level is little to medium, likes to be petted, held in lap, calm personality, diet needs to be watched, make sure he gets a lot of play activity to keep trim waistline. It would be perfect if he is re-homed with another playful and sweet cat. Children are okay, is cautious about dogs.

Story
I have three sisters and we all look alike: Really shiny black hair, copper eyes, and very narrow faces. My foster mom thinks we might be part Bombay and part Siameses. Two of my sisters got adopted, leaving Venus and me. There's a picture of Venus and me together. I can't remember which one is me because we both look alike! I'm nice and friendly and hoping to find my forever home soon. I'm in a loving foster home, but I want a family of my very own. HURRY OUT this Saturday to meet Pepper. He usually shows at the League City Petco (I-45 @ 646) on Saturdays from 12am-4pm. Please email us and we'll make sure he's there. PLEASE NOTE: Rescued stray cats and kittens are exposed to a host of germs and parasites both on the streets and in the shelters. They should be thoroughly examined by a veterinarian within one week of adoption. At the time of adoption, we will provide you with cat/kitten care information and give you our contact information so we can answer any questions you have after you've brought your new pet home. You can find additional pet care information at www.healthypet.com, www.catchannel.com, www.dfl.org, and www.hspca.org. These sites have recommendations on setting up a cat-friendly environment and how to prevent and resolve behavioral issues. The Houston SPCA also has a team of Animal Behavior Specialists you can contact for FREE advice. For indepth medical information, go to www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/. They are the cat experts! FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION AND HOW TO ADOPT, GO TO OUR WEBSITE - http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/TX1363.html. You can download our Adoption Application, fill it out, and bring it with you to the event. Our volunteers will talk with you about your preferences and help you choose the pet that's right for you.

Story
Molly is a friendly girl to PEOPLE but she doesn't care for other cats. She is about five and a half years old and needs a home where she is ONLY cat. Molly loves to play with toys and she loves her stuffed cuddly buddy Eeyore. Please contact her foster mom directly at Bellpass@aol.com for best results in getting a prompt answer. The Friends of League City Animal Shelter rescues animals from the shelters, and places them in foster homes, where they can receive the love and care they need. We hold adoption events most weekends. If you would like to meet a specific kitty (or dog), please email us beforehand, and we'll make sure it's there. Sundays: Clear Lake PETCO (Bay Area Blvd @ Space Center) 12 - 4 PM. You can download an ADOPTION APPLICATION from our PETFINDER HOMEPAGE and submit it to us via email or at the adoption event. Applications submitted via email prior to the weekend can often be pre-approved, meaning you can go to the event and take your pet home that day. We cannot guarantee same-day approval of applications submitted at the event, because there may not be a volunteer working who is authorized to approve applications. Please note that with an approved application, we can sometimes arrange a meeting during the week. Just ask! Here is the link to our forms. The pdf file contains our one-page FAQs, the two-page Adoption Application, and the one-pate Adoption Contract (fille out after approval, and usually after you’ve met the pet, and made a final decision): http://www.friendsofleaguecityanimalshelter.com/adoptions/adoption-forms/ NOTE: Rescued cats and kittens are exposed to a lot, both on the streets and in the shelter. While we provide them with care and some vaccinations, they have not been fully examined by a veterinarian. Your adopted pet needs a complete Veterinary exam (including fecal), within about a week of adoption. For more cat and kitten care information, ask your Vet, or visit with our Friends of LCAS volunteers. Meanwhile, go to www.healthypet.com, click on Pet Care, then Cat Care. Also good, is www.catchannel.com - click on Cat Behavior or Cat Health. For local behavior help, go to www.hspca.org, point to the link Resources, then click on Behavior Information. Here you will find many helpful tips on behavior issues with cats and kittens. At the end of some articles, they provide a phone number, to call their Animal Behavior Specialists, for FREE advice! You can also get pet-behavior advice from ASPCA experts 24 hours a day, right from your computer. Their animal behaviorists offer possible solutions to a wide range of issues, at no charge. Simply type your pet's behavior problem into their easy-to-use database, and you'll receive step-by-step advice—without leaving home:  http://www.aspca.org/Pet-care/virtual-pet-behaviorist. For indepth medical information, go to www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/ - they are the cat experts! Story
This kitten showed up or was dropped off at my porch 2 weeks ago. It is a stray and very skinny. It’s off the bottle and eating soft and hard (wet it to soften) food. It is still getting use to humans. Unfortunately I just took in a stray and also have 2 dogs. I can’t take it in. All shelters and fosters are full so I will continue to feed him until someone can pick him up.thanks!

Story
bear is about 8 months old, she’s extremely playful, and she loves to cuddle. she doesn’t tear up carpet, or anything other than toys you give to her. she was born in my apartment, her dad is completely orange and her mom is a brown tabby kind of cat. i need someone that has the energy to play with her as much as possible and perhaps a home that already has 1 or 2 kitties.
