Story
Ripley was rescued in 2015 at 8 weeks. We planned for her and loved her from the very start. We did not have any children and had a middle aged lab at home and we all wanted another family member. Ripley was unfortunately misrepresented when we were told she was a lab with a little bit of border collie. This girl is straight up border collie! She is full of life and loves to RUN and play fetch (balls, not frisbees!). She does fine with our cat, though she is not a fan of other dogs or people when we are on walks. Due to us having a child who can now get in her space, our lack of time and family illnesses Ripley’s needs (both emotional and physical) are not being met. As much as it hurts to lose a close member of our family, we need Ripley to be in a place where she can thrive. She deserves better and I’m hoping we can find it here. Ripley was spayed as a pup and she is micro chipped. She needs a home with no young children. Another dog may be okay if the right fit.

Story
Willow is a ten year old pup with a wonderful temperament and a happy face. She is smart, mellow, sweet, and a little shy. Willow loves to work for her treats. A stable environment and daily schedule is really important to her. Willow likes to eat before going to sleep. She knows the sit, stay and the down commands. We are working on heel and home alone anxiety. For some reason beeps from things like a microwave or gas pumps make her shake. Usually a reassuring treat and attention make the shaking go away or she will want to go to her quiet space. She loves to run with the dogs at the dog park and long hikes in nature. Be aware she will lunge toward cyclists and rollerbladers. At the dog park you will see her natural herding instincts. Willow loves to snuggle then find a quiet place to relax inside or outside. She is an escape artist. The outside area needs to be secured with a six foot fence.

Story
My dog’s name is Lola and she is 8 years old in March. She is part Border collie, part mutt, and acts like a herder. She is ~70 lb, black white and brown, with “rot spots” above her eyes. She responds to come, sit, stay, leave it, on your bed, out. She is kennel trained, chipped, and has all her shots. She is not destructive, although she likes chewing up paper and cardboard. She is border conscious, and never tries to escape or dig. She likes to play tug-of-war and Frisbee. She limps on her hind legs with too much exercise. Vet said it’s likely torn CCLs. We decided against surgery and instead to back off on the exercise. Since then she does not limp. She very much enjoys going on walks. She is ok on a leash, but will pull. She is a dominant dog, and is ok with other dogs once she gets to know them, once they know she’s the boss. She is not a good dog park dog. She is ok with cats only if the cat is dominant. She does not like chaos and thus does not like small kids.

Our family adopted Kiba a few months before we had a baby. Kiba is terrified of the new baby and we feel he would be so much happier in an environment with no small children. Kiba is 4 years old. He loves going on runs and walks but dog parks make him nervous.
