Story
Gracie is a loving girl who wants all of your attention. She talks a lot and is very vocal with her feelings. She loves tug of war and playing ball even though you have to coax it from her. Gracie was born in March 2008 and is 11 years old. She is still playful and active. She would be an ideal pet for any person older than 10. She has shared the attention with 3 other pets for many years so we believe she would be happiest with a single pet family or with no more than two pets in the home. Gracie and Sunny, our other, younger, border collie, are unable to co-exist. Sunny is more aggressive and has gotten the better of Gracie. We are worried that the next time we may not be as lucky. We love Gracie and want the very best for her! Gracie has a bit of an OCD issue with licking, she also likes a lot of attention, however she is mild mannered and a very loving girl and is very energetic for an 11 year old!

Story
Rehoming Border Collie Mix. Her name is Halo. Spade and microchipped. Up to date on shots. We have had her 4 1/2 years. She is almost 5 years old. She is a very high energy dog and loves to herd. Obedient and does wonderful with hand commands. Loving and protective, and breaks my heart to have to rehome her, but she is not happy in a small place. She needs room to exercise to her hearts content.

Story
Rizzo is an energetic, sweet, 2 year old dog who has gotten along with our 2 other dogs and everyone she has met so far. She has also seemed more curious and playful with our 2 cats than aggressive. Rizzo would be an excellent dog for someone who has the tools to work through her resource guarding, food and stuffed toys, and probably best in a home with either no children or older ones who remember to clean up after themselves. She is also a herding dog and needs a friend who can play, run, fetch and snuggle with her while setting boundaries and using her intelligence to teach her some tricks. In her short time with us, she has drastically improved her manners but will need time and patience as she continues to learn how to behave indoors.

Story
Katie is a Border Collie mix (she has some brindle in her black markings) about 10 years old. She was my mother-in-law's dog but they couldn't take her when they were forced to move due to a death in the family. She is a lover's dog and wants nothing more than affection. She is protective and barks when she sees or hears something she considers a threat. (This could be minimized with training.) She knows what the commands Come, Sit, and Go Night Night are though she is not consistent at maintaining them once she follows initially. She has never been groomed and will need to have someone patient help her to learn this new habit--with her desire to please I don't think there will be any issue. She is a sweetheart and really deserves a loving home where she can live out her remaining years.

Story
I have a 5 month old male neutered collie/shepherd I hope for him to find a home where he is able to roam free and he isn't good on leash because he roams free on my property but he is very smart and he is dog friendly and he would like to have a sister and or brother.he would do better with older children because he is mouthy.he is not crated trained also because I've never had to put him in a crate .he sleeps outside and at times inside he has also somewhat good manners he only knows command sit.i am hopeful to find him a home where he can be a working dog to herd cattle or sheep this is why he is mouthy overall he is a good boy he just needs a job and exercise and he will be happy thank you.

Story
Max came to AAC as a stray and it was obvious he had been severely neglected. He was extremely emaciated and covered in fleas and flies. With extra attention from staff and volunteers, Max regained his health. Today, Max is a totally new dog, ready for his forever family.“He is SUCH a cuddle bug!” Volunteers have gushed about Max. He is curious and loves going on walks. Max is quite the loose-leash walker and a go-to for new volunteers who are just learning the ropes. He’s super sweet and gentle when taking treats. (He absolutely loves cheese and enrichment games that involve food.) Max knows commands like sit, shake, and high five. He might be timid at first, but once Max learns he can trust you, he’ll be your BFF.The constant noise and barking at the shelter are a little much for this gentle soul. Max would love a calm and quiet home where he can relax and enjoy snuggle time with his human. He could also easily live with a doggie sibling. If you’re ready to spoil this pupper and make sure the second part of his life is the absolute best, come by and meet him. He can’t wait to go home!
