Story
Henry cane to us as a young pup and was diagnosed with Megaesophagus. You can see by looking at him that it does not slow him down. The absolute only thing different between him and any other dog is that he has to eat on two feet. Everything else is normal. Eating on 4 feet is not an option for him. However, he can drink and have treats on 4. He is crate, house trained, and doggie door trained. He gets along well with all size of dogs as he has several foster siblings. He is very loving and affectionate and believe it or not is sensitive. When researching this condition, ask questions as not all cases are the same. His foster has had two different ME dogs and both are very different. He needs that special person who will look after him and make sure he stays and healthy and happy as he is now. He would love to have a playmate too.

Story
Gordy is a fluffy cookie monster, trapped in the body of a Border Collie. He doesn't know how to herd livestock or chase balls. He'd rather sit pretty for treats than run after sheep. Gordy is as handsome as they come! His right ear always stands at attention, while his left cocks to the side and a smile is stretched across his face. He loves to play tag in the yard with other dogs and tries to beat the neighboring dog to the end of the fence line. Gordy may be a little slow when feeling at ease in new situations or with new people, but once he knows you're a good person, he'll think you're the bee's knees and want to be friends! Would you like to wake up to Gordy's smile every morning? Then contact OHAR to learn more about how to meet him! History: Gordy was turned into the Mesquite Animal shelter when found as a stray. Gordy is a happy, playful guy who is eager to please. He is crate trained graduated from obedience training where he was a star pupil. Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Story
Who does not like Pretzels? You are sure to fall in love with this one! She and her sister Popcorn are as sweet as can be. After a sad start, they are enjoying life with a foster where they are getting very good with house training, crate training, getting along with everyone - including cats and listening to commands. Does it get any better? These little girls will likely be dainty young ladies and not overly big. Pretzel has the most beautiful markings , pictures do not so her justice. Come meet her! Our Furry Friendz are available for adoption through a screening process which includes but is not limited to: a completed application, 3 referrals, a home visit, and a vet referral prior to their furever home placement. The dogs are Spayed/Neutered, micro chipped, current on all vaccines and on heart worm/flea preventive. Story
Memphis is a beautiful, family oriented dog. She is full of life and so much fun to be around. Unfortunately, we are having another baby & we do not have time on our hands to take care of our girl. We are going to have to rehome her, due to our pregnancy. She has been the best dog we have ever had and have loved on her for the past 4 years. We are hoping to send her off to a loving family, because we couldn’t see her being with anyone else but us.
