Meet Biscuit! Biscuit is a beautiful adult boxer lab mix. We think she is around two years old and weighs 55 pounds. It’s always inspiring when we are blessed to foster a gentle soul that has come from a sad background. Biscuit deserves nothing less than a family that will love her and call her their own. We of course, hope this happens for her before the Christmas holidays. Biscuit is interested in bones, toys and meeting new friends. My wife and I rescued Dexter 6 years ago. Dexter has brought us so much joy and personally turned me into dog lover. We have 2 boys (4 and 18 months) and Dexter has learned to adjust to our growing family. Overall, he's done a great job and shown much love and protection. However, at times of weakness, he’s shown signs of aggression (growling and snapping) towards our oldest son. Unfortunately, while on a date recently, Dexter bit him on the nose. Dexter has a history of aggression towards other dogs and adult males. He's been kicked out of daycare for bitting and bit through my friend's clothing while visiting our house. A hired professional taught us how to identify his stressors and manage his behavior. It helped us understand Dexter’s jealousy and anxiety. However, that date night taught us we won’t always be there to take preventative action. It pains us to consider rehoming, but we want what’s best for everybody. We love him dearly, but have to put our children's safety first.

Meet Bella! The almost perfect 10 dog! She is a happy, kind girl who loves snuggling by your side, going on grand adventures and playing with her foster brother and sister. Bella is 6 years old and we’re told she has spent her Life being passed between people who mainly wanted to use her for breeding. No more of that for this gal! She is now spayed, up to date on all vaccinations and preventives and is waiting for her forever home. Bella ALMOST gets a perfect 10 on her behavior score card. She does have a couple quirks: She really likes going through trash when the humans are gone (easily solved with a locking can or keeping it in an area she cannot get to) and she really,really likes running like the wind. This would be fine except Bella has not yet been taught recall and we’re guessing that, until she went into foster care, she had not been on many walks. Needless to say, she simply loves being out and exploring the great big world! She is a fantastic leash walker and car rider but, when off leash, she tends to travel a bit too far away. Bella needs a fenced yard and folks who will keep her safe when going on fun trips. She is a sweet soul with a fantastic, warm personality and wonderful house manners (aside from the trash can trick :). TRISH is such a doll she will surely keep you smiling! Age: 3yrs young Breed: Boxer/Red Heeler mix Size:about 45 lbs Trish is a sweetie pie that can be Shy and timid at first and when meeting new people but she does warms up quickly. Once she knows you and trust you she is your bestie for life. Trish is a moderate energy gal who is looking for a family with older children or no children young children might make her nervous and she will hide out in her crate. She is great with other dogs not sure about cats. She does have a bit of anxiety but is manageable. She just would prefer to sleep in her crate when you are not home. Thats pretty easy to do she does great as long as she can be with you and she has loads of chew toys to keep her occupied if you should have to step out for a few min. She will worry about if you are coming back if you’re gone too long which is why her crate is her safe place. She is also House trained, potty trained, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated and Microchipped. Charley is a 2 year old boxer mix. We’ve adopted him from a rescue in Chicago which is a kill shelter. We’ve had charley since he was 4 months old and I must say he is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. At first glance you would think he’s a mean dog but really he’s just protective of his family. It typically takes about 1/2 hour for Charley to warm up to new people. Charley currently lives with 6 children ages 18yr-6yrs old and his human mother & father. Charley loves to cuddle, snuggle and play tug of war with his family and even likes to sit by my children when they play video games on the couch for hours. Lol. Charley is coming from a home that really LOVES him and wish things could have worked out differently but after multiple emergency room visit, countless medication is has been confirmed that my husband is highly allergic to to warm blooded animals . We wasn’t aware of this when we adopted Charley and the symptoms he had we thought was associated with another illness.
