Story
We have had Marley for 3 years now. She is a great dog in own home. She is protective and takes a little time to get used to new people. She loves my kids. Particularly my daughter who is 7. My other children are 5 and 2 and she is great with them both. She tries to chase squarrels when walked to potty so I don't think she will do well with cats unless you keep them separate while you teach Marley they are "babies". We have never had cats around her so I am not sure

Story
Millie is a true sweetheart. I cannot say enough good things about the friendly demeanor of this dog toward people. Her name was originally Squishy, before she was adopted from an ASPCA in Delaware. She is now around 13 years old. Other than the gray in her face, she hasn't slowed down much and is very healthy. She loves to be close to people and would do well with children. The reason she needs to be rehomed is that another dog in the household has become aggressive toward her, and she has to defend herself, which isn't fair to her. She is a well-loved indoor dog, and doesn't like to spend much time outside when it is too hot or too cold due to her thin coat. She knows commands, such as stay, sit, leave it, down, off, and in. (It would probably be best if the new owners used her "language" to avoid stress and to help her behave.) She loves playing with toys, playing catch, and gentle wrestling. She also loves riding in the car and is particularly fond of cheese.

Story
We rescued Honey from being euthanized by the Wichita Animal Shelter. We got her site unseen and have since found out she would be better as the only dog in a home. The shelter will not take her back. She's very sweet and loving, she has a happy dance that is the cutest thing. She is kennel trained and somewhat potty trained. There have been some accidents, but she looks darn cute in a diaper. She walks great on a leash and snores like an old man. Honey is a boxer mix and is 5.5 years old. She is up to date on all vaccines except for Rabies, the shelter did not provide that for some reason.

Story
Duplicate Listing - REGINA (A091260) - 4 yr old brown/white Boxer/Pit mix is currently located at the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter. Regina appears to be okay with other dogs as long as their energy level is on par with hers. She appears to be good with cats. She was tested at the shelter with a cat. She smelled the cat and just wanted to smell around more. Brought her back up to the cat and the cat smacked her so at that point, she just wanted to get pets from people. Regina would probably do best in a home without young children. When she gets tugged on, she can get mouthy (like she is playing). She can also be a jumpy girl. Regina will need a patient owner as she will need assistance in housetraining skills. She loves to play full force once she is out of her kennel and over time she does settle down. Regina will also need help in leash walking too as she pulls hard. She knows "sit" and as she is treat motivated (she takes them so gently), she might learn others too. Please contact the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter to find out when you can meet her at (816) 969-1640 and they are located at 1991 SE Hamblen Rd, Lee's Summit, MO 64082.

Story
Miss Lucy is the best dog I have ever had. This is why it breaks my heart to have to let her go 😢. Lucy is 7 years old and I adopted her from a shelter. They were great but I wish they wouldn’t have let me adopt her with out a backyard and a tall fence. She is very dog aggression and has bitten a dog before. When I walk with her, I live in fear that it will happen again and I will have to put her down. I can’t let that happen, With a recent break up, Im afraid I can’t handle her alone. She’s so loving, She sits, shakes, lays down and is very treat motivated. She’s housebroken, doesn’t counter surf and only plays with her toys. She doesn’t chew anything!!! When Ive been sad in the past she knows - she’s always on me and trying to give me doggie kisses. I have never had to rehome a dog before and the amount of guilt I feel is so hard to explain. I will not give up on her, she will never go back to a shelter but I can’t keep her because I need to do what’s best for Lucy.
