Story
This is sweet little Lucy. She is the softest cutest little thing. She has made big strides since coming into foster care. She is still quite fearful of noise, fast movements and humans in general. She allows me to pet her when she is eating. She loves to play and can’t resist anything that dangles on a string! She is constantly rubbing up against my shih tzu and our foster boy Aspen. She wants affection sooo badly and I believe that she will continue to thrive in a quiet home with another cat. She is always lingering close by as she watches the other pets get affection and will often slide in sneakily beside them for some affection. She even let my daughter pick her up the other day! She still has a long way to go but she deserves a forever family of her very own. If you have the time and love to give and are wanting to add a furry friend to your family please reach out.

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Hi there! My name is Yasmin, and I came all the way from Egypt! I was a friendly stray kitty before being brought here to Toronto by Safehome. I am an outgoing, curious, and adventurous girl who loves exploring. I am eager to play and make friends, and will always be excited to see you. I greet you with soft chirrups and lots of head butts and side rubs against your legs. I love attention, playing with toys, and taking naps with you. It is important to keep in mind that because I was a street cat and didn’t spend my early years in a home, I wasn’t socialized to “play properly” with others. That means I play a little rough (I will nip and use my claws when I play), and sudden movements or loud noises alarm me. I have had to learn certain behaviours to survive on the streets; I am never aggressive or mean, but I will need a patient, cat-experienced family to help me learn to trust and re-learn appropriate, gentle play behaviours. My ideal home would be a calm and quiet house with lots of space for me to explore and play, with a single/couple and no young children or animals. I am not a fan of loud noises or sudden commotion. I am steadily making progress with my foster family – I just need someone to give me the time I deserve to develop confidence and learn to trust humans. Please be patient with me and give me a chance at a loving forever home so that I can show you my true personality! I had a rough start in life, and all I want now is to settle down with a loving forever family. I am spayed, up to date with shots, and in good health. I am a beautiful girl who is well-groomed and low maintenance. I am litter trained and have never had any accidents. If you're interested in getting to know me, please let the folks at Safehome know! I can't wait to meet you :)

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN ADOPTING A RESCUE - PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE FEED TO ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ADOPTION PROCESS. PLEASE REVIEW/ READ ALL INFO PROVIDED. THIS IS TO SAVE TIME FOR EVERYONE AND NEEDLESS INQUIRIES WHEN ALL THE ANSWERS ARE PROVIDED. **BASIC INQUIRIES ASKING QUESTIONS THAT ARE PROVIDED WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. ** WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE EXISTING PETS/ FAMILY/ PAYING JOBS. OUR TIME IS IN SHORT SUPPLY AND WE APPRECIATE YOUR UNDERSTANDING WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT OF ONTARIO ********************************************************************************************** WHY IS THIS CAT IN NEED??- She has lived within her home for a year- but the existing cats have not welcomed her, and she is too stressed out. Her owner has asked us to help find her a pet free home. Sh has been surrendered to rescue. She will be fully vetted before adoption. Adoption Fee $100 WHERE IS THIS CAT NOW ?- Cambridge area **ALL ABOUT KITTY ** Requirements for Kitty -No dogs/ cats -pet free home- as is highly stressed from being a target. -indoor only -older children that are respectful -exp owner with scared cats - that need/ take time to settled and bond. Kitty has had a rough start to life. Her original owner found her as a stray and it took many months to finally trap her. She had no chip, no owners were found. She was fully vetted and ear tipped. She lives in a very quiet home with adults- and 2 older children that give her all the space she needs and not not invade her space when she is clearly not interested. She does not live with dogs and is NOT used too dogs. It was a very/slow process to gain Kitty's trust but it has not been a year.. and she loves her mom!! INFO FROM CARE-GIVER : If you can believe it, it’ll be a year since I trapped kitty in a couple weeks! And I’m sort of at a fork in the road. Over this year kitty has grown into the most loving, sweet pet. She’s my ♥️. I just love her so much. The problem is, I’ve not been able to socialize her with the other cats. There’s been more than one attack that ended in bite wounds for Kitty and although I keep trying I can’t seem to intergrate everyone. So I have a divided house. Which I could deal with. But, with my hectic life I am only able to manage a few hours a day with her, or I sleep downstairs to be with her. She’s so sweet when I’m there, she’s so happy she drools as she purrs and runs her nose on my face. It’s really heartwarming! And this is my problem, I want her to be free to roam and have contact with the family all the time. I think about she must hear us upstairs and wish she had the companionship, but she shows no interest in coming up (prob because she’s scared of my cats). So, I decided I needed to find her a home, which I’ve been debating for some time. The thing is, I feel like she needs a quiet pet free home to call her own, but I’m sure it’s hard to find a patient pet lover who has no pets! More info to come on her. We welcome your application for consideration . ********************************************************************************************** *** HOW IT WORKS - ADOPTION INFORMATION **** Please read ** ALL** the information provided below on the process to save time and facilitate the process in a smooth manner. The adoption fee does NOT cover the cost of vetting or supplies for these animals - If you cannot afford the adoption fee (that is a fraction of actual REDUCED VETTING expenses incurred) then you should reconsider adopting. These animals deserve forever homes, good food, regular vet care, and emergency care as needed. Pets should never be euthanized by their owners simply based on financial consideration when something goes wrong. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue pet.!! Story
LAILA was literally thrown out of an apartment October/15 and luckily our foster lady lives next door and so we told her to bring her in which she did in mid November. It was soon determined that Laila was pregnant and she delivered her 2 kittens (now adopted) Jan.11/16. Laila is about 2.5 yrs old, gorgeous semi-long hair CALICO. She is very sweet and now at our shelter and gets along find with a few of our friendly cats who are used to newcomers. Laila would do well either as an only cat or with a male cat that is calm. She is quite affectionate and loves to be petted. She is in excellent health, spayed, de-wormed, free of parasites. Please consider this lovely girl if you are looking for a puurfect kitty. Please see our Adoption Procedure and Criteria on www.catamatch.petfinder.com and if you agree email us to request our Adoption application.

BEFORE CONTACTING US BY PHONE OR E-MAIL: Please click on www.catamatch.petfinder.com to read our Adoption Criteria and Adoption Procedure BEFORE requesting our application which we will gladly e-mail to you; you can also see our other 55+ resident kitties up for adoption. Also, please state your location and note ours. Thank You! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Born July 18/08 - one of five kittens rescued with their mom, Millie, at our local mill. Olivier, who we think is their pop and now in our shelter, and their kittens are all polydactyl (mitten feet). Macy is a very pretty girl. She is slightly shy, however purrs up like a big locomotive when you pet her, and she just loves to play. She is good with her sisters and other kitties. We think Macy would do best adopted with a friend of hers because of her shyness, but we are quite certain she will blossom in a stable, relatively quiet home. We know she will become someone's cuddly bunny! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT OUR PERSONALITY PROFILES: Our personality profiles are 95% accurate based on the cats' present environment; this can change to SOME degree in a new environment, therefore, our predictions on the best matched home are 80% to 100% accurate. As we have very limited manpower, please also note we are sometimes overloaded and cannot update profiles immediately. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
