Pretty Tess thinks she's a feral cat, although she enjoys all the pleasures of being a domestic kitty, including three squares a day, soft beds, sleeping in sunny windowsills and playing with toys, especially balls! However, she has yet to figure out that people can be her friends. She is afraid of human touch and makes herself scarce whenever strangers come to visit. Tess gets along well with other cats (she adores Owen and Spencer!) and may always be more of a cat-kitty than a people-kitty. Tess was born around March, 2007. She tests negative for FIV and FeLV, has been spayed, is current on vaccinations and microchipped. She recently had her teeth removed due to painful stomatitis, but this does not interfere with her eating. However, this is something her adoptive family would need to keep an eye on, because it may still be a reoccurring condition. She also has diabetes and requires canned food that is high protein/low carbohydrate. She is ready to go to a quiet home without young children, ideally one with a cat who wants a buddy (better yet, adopted together with Owen!) and humans who will love her just the way she is.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Please contact Deborah (deborah@zallen.com) for more information about this pet.Fun loving Calico CatHowdy I am Kiki and I am as fun loving as they come.  I have been with my foster family now for over four years and though I love them greatly I sometimes think I should find a new place now that I am older.  Of course I am pretty shy any time new people are around to come and see me and I have been known to hide.  In fact even my pet sitter has never seen me at home but she knows I am there since she's seen me when I come in for my Vet checks. I love to be around other cats and therefore think a home with at least one other cat would be perfect.  My sibling Lexi the Lynx point was adopted November 2014 and my other two siblings were adopted from the shelter.  I miss them but I am really friendly with all cats that I have met so far.  My foster parents have been taking great care of us.  We have tons of toys and great food and the other cats showed me the ropes.  I am not a huge kitty but by no meow am I starving either.   We have our own places to wait when it is time to line up for treats so no one fights with each other.  I run all over the place and have a grand old time making a mess.  I guess I could be a little neater with our toys but you are only a teenager once.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Please contact Rae (rae@luvzhorses.com) for more information about this pet.Hello,My name is Comet and I'm a beautiful little calico girl.  I came from a colony near an apartment complex in Houston with my Mom and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.  We are Mama's third litter and some of the great ladies that do rescue near where I lived decided that Mama was not going to have any more babies.Our poor Mama is a feral - that means she is extremely afraid of humans and won't let anyone touch her.  Sad because she probably will never know the comforts of a loving indoor home, but at least she will be spayed, vaccinated against diseases and microchipped and returned to her familiar territory where there are people who feed and watch out for them.  During the cold snap a kind man allowed us to take shelter inside his garage where he fed us and we kept warm and had a nice snuggy spot where Mama could take care of us.  Mama came with us to Killeen for two reasons, to see if she would calm to the indoor life and the the kind treatment of just one or two humans to see if she could adapt AND to stay with us as long as we needed.  We're still nursing some and that's a good thing.Unfortunately we are all healthy except we have a pretty good case of ringworm.  We've been seen by the vet and we're on oral meds and topical cream AND if the warmer weather holds a bit we'll also get medicated baths.  It can take 4-6 weeks to conquer this fungus so we won't be availble to go home with you until we are over it.  Foster Mom has put May 1st as our available date but it could be less time or even a little more.  We are available for PRE adoption with a refundable deposit that will be applied to our adoption fee when it's time.Right now we're mostly scared of everything because Mama is, but Foster Mom and Foster sister are both working with us and now my brother Dasher chases Mom's feet and asks for pets and attention. Several of my other sibs are warming up too but for the most part we play with toys and sleep a lot.  By the time we are ready we will be pocket kittens!Foster Mom would prefer we go in pairs so we have a friend so we're not so scared but if there is another appropriate pet already in your home we could come as a single.  IF you are truly interested in us let Foster Mom know and she can send you a video of us so you can see us in action.  Not good for you to be near/handling us since you could get the ringworm too so for now this is the best way.We are sure lucky that we got picked up and are now in a warm home with toys, food and the right meds so we can get rid of this itchy fungus.  Wouldn't you love for us to come and be your forever kitty?  We are soooo cute!!! and we'll love you forever! UPDATE: May 28, 2019 Well we're ready to be adopted into our forever homes.  We’ve gotten our vaccinations and are completely free of ringworm.  We're the age that is noted on this web page and it's time to get into a real home environment.  Some of us are really ready socially but several of us are still a bit on the shy side but nothing that getting some gentle handling and snuggling won't help.  We are completely weaned and eating wet and dry food and using our cat box faithfully. I re-homed Alex for a friend. She is super sweet and loves to be pet and cuddle. She is indoor outdoor, but can be just indoor. She is better with a little bit older kids.

Jean - Luc has been with me since she was born. She is 7 months going on 8 months. She is a love bug, a lap cuddler & a bit of cry baby if she is completely alone for to long without her sister or a toy. All in all she is a very easy going lady with a lot of Love. Just like her sister I want her to have a forever home where she can be cared for & loved.

Harlee turned 3 years old in September 2019. She is a very sweet girl when she wants to be but can be finicky around certain people at certain times. She needs a very experienced, loving owner who can play with her and care for her regularly.

Pierre is a sweet indoor 3 yr old orange tabby. Pierre loves affection and naps. Pierre would do great with someone who is home a lot to be his friend.

Cali is 9 years old. She is a playful, goofy little girl. She is the type who will come for you for attention and when shes done she does on about her day. She has excellent hunting instincts so if you have a critter lose in the home, she will find it.

Happy is a inside trained cat, but loves to spend time outside. He does not need much attention and is very loving.

We have a 5 year old calico tabby mix that we adopted before our daughter was born. She is a very sweet cat. She is a bit scared of our daughter as she's 3.5 years old, so she mostly comes out of her hiding places at night. She will definitely cuddle with you while you watch tv and is very loving. She's pretty low maintenance. We had a 18 year old main coon who recently passed away, so she's by herself in that way. She's not great with other cats for a while, but she was always playing with and napping with our older cat. She's never been around dogs, so we can't speak to how she will interact with them. If you have older kids, she'd be a good cat. She's just skiddish around little ones who haven't learned to be gentle with cats.

Meet Penny!Penny is timid at first, and needs time warming up to her human - but once she does, she's very affectionate with them. She loves to throw her body on them at bed time and snuggle in their armpit. She gets along with cats and dogs more easily than humans. Her best pal is Tom and he helps bring out her adventurous side.

Meet Koshka! She has the sweetest personality and loves to get lots of pets! She makes the perfect bestie. She is the perfect cat friend for other cats as well as she loves a good cuddle session and is always down for assisting with grooming. Koshika is also a permanent kitten! She LOVES playing. Koshka can be adopted out in a home with other cats or with one of her current friends, Fiona and Ume. Be sure to check out their profiles as well!

Juliet is a beautiful dilute calico. She is a very vocal girl and loves to chat about things. She is a sweet girl, but not the life of the party. She wants her pets on her terms and is very low maintenance. She still loves her pets, don't get me wrong, but she's also not the one to hound you to pet her all the time. She loves to go and find a nice place to sleep in the sun. She has recently decided that snuggles are fabulous and loves to snuggle up to her foster mom for loves.
