You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.~ Genesis (Foster Mom update 19 Feb 2020). Genesis is fully potty trained, as long as you listened or watch for her queues she will not have accidents in the house. She has learned the command sit and is a wonderful snuggle buddy on the couch or bed. I took her to PetSmart for a meet and greet and she still does not like crowds or strangers, but she let people pet her without any incidents or accidents. The picture posted was from today, while outside this afternoon. ~ Genesis (Foster Mom update 7 Jan 2020). Genesis is doing great. She will sleep with you or her crate at night (prefers to sleep on the bed). She will let you know either way during the night if she needs to go outside. She knows basic commands and loves to play. She is still shy around new people, doesn't bite, just barks or growls to let you know she's scared. She will make a wonderful companion for anyone once you become her human. The main thing with Genesis is her forever home must have another dog or two, she is a pack dog and we found out the hard way that this is necessary for her to be a calm happy dog, she does not do well by herself. ~ Genesis (Genny or Gen Gen) is looking for a new beginning with lots of love and companionship. Genesis is a "Pack" breed and needs to be in a home with another dog. Gen is a very smart girl who learns quickly and loves to sit next to you while watching TV. She has lots of energy and has a blast with her current foster brother Joey. She is cautious meeting new people, but warms up quickly. She does great in her kennel; sometimes she likes to eat her food in the kennel. Also, if she doesn't want to go outside, she goes to her kennel. She sleeps in a kennel at night in her foster mom's room and goes to sleep with no problems, even though she would rather be in bed next to you. Genesis is not a picky eater and loves treats (who doesn’t). She adapted quickly with her foster pack; she gets along with her three older foster brothers and her older foster sister. Genesis is so sweet and trusting and would make a wonderful addition to any family looking for unconditional puppy love and giving Genesis a new life story.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story

Holly was adopted from the local pound. They advertised her has shepherd mix but she is clearly Carolina Dog. She is estimated to be around a year old. She is very active and playful. She loves to run the neighborhood so she would thrive in the country. She rarely barks but will “sass” back which is normal for this breed. She has been spoiled and has had access to the outdoors through a doggie door. She’s great with other dogs but she hasn’t been around cats so we’re unsure of how she would do. She’s good with children. She does like to jump which we work on daily with her. She deserves more attention than we are able to give her. She has claimed my 15 year old daughter as hers and she sleeps with her every night. She wants to be by her side whenever she is home. She enjoys car rides too. We want someone to adopt her that will love her as much as we do, can keep up with her and not leave her outside in the heat or cold. She needs someone who is patient and kind but consistent.
