Duplicate Listing - DIEGO (A090899) - 8 month old tan Carolina mix is currently located at the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter. Diego is good with higher energy dogs as he and Junior (check him out on our website too) were running around with each other the second they met. Diego was "go, go, go" the whole time and may be too much energy for lower energy dogs. He is very dog friendly but may not read other dogs very well. Diego appears to be okay with cats as he went up to the cat and she swatted at him. He wanted nothing to do with her after that (I wonder why? LOL!). A forever home without children would be in Diego's best interest as he can be nervous around new people and might get nippy if pushed. Diego's housetraining skills will need some work but at least he doesn't pull very hard on a leash, usually staying by your side. Diego has a medium to high energy level as he is very excitable and loves jumping on people. He doesn't seem very interested in toys but loves running around. Diego knows "sit" and "shake". Story
Gypsy will be 2 years old on May 12 and is a 70 lb Carolina Shepherd. We have had her one year and before she came to us from a shelter, she had a litter of puppies and lived on the street. Because of this, she can be shy around new people and scared of large objects. However, she is now kennel trained and has never had an accident in the house. She has a very calm demeanor, but gets excited for meal time and when she plays with other dogs.Gypsy is wonderful with children and babies and tends to keep to herself when visitors are over. We are very sad to rehome this sweet girl, but with a baby on the way, we do not have the space, funds, or time she deserves from us.
