Story

I adopted Pye about five years ago. I met her at a pet store where she was awaiting adoption. She was sitting in a box in the middle of the store. I was drawn to her because she was so laid back and casual...the bustle of the store didn't seem to bother her at all. Pye has no claws (front or back), her claws were removed by her previous owner. She's extremely affectionate, her constant need for attention is sometimes overwhelming to me because I have three other pets. As her profile above indicates, she gets along with the other pets well (another cat and one small, one medium-sized dog). She's a large and muscular cat, weighing approximately 17 pounds, this makes it challenging for someone my age to tolerate (the contant affection). Recently, I've injured my knee and am dealing with moderate arthritus there. For this reason especially, I'm seeking a new home for Pye. I'm hopeful that there's a foster parent out there for her who can tolerate her needs for affection.

She was rescued from a local animal shelter when she was brought in with an open wound and needed to be quarantined. Now that she has healed and was proclaimed healthy again, Miranda is looking for her forever home. She is a very friendly little kitty who loves to snuggle and enjoys playing with cat friends. She has been spayed and is up-to-date on her shots. She'd love to be home for Christmas.Miranda is being foster in the Columbia, Md. area. This handsome gray tabby is full of fun, play and cuddles. He and his siblings had been abandoned with their mother in an old shack. Thankfully a RORR volunteer heard their cries and brought the whole family to a foster. Now all the kittens are happy and running all over the place. Seth has developed into a curious fellow who investigates everything. He is very friendly and when he finally gets tired of playing, he is looking for a lap to curl up in.He has been fully vetted and tested negative for Feleuk/Fiv. It is hard to believe that some uncaring farmer dumped him on the side of the road - just a kitten. When he was found by a RORR volunteer, he had an upper respiratory infection and a terrible oozing eye. We were not sure whether we could save this little fellow - but he recovered and now he looks like a miniature panther. He has forgotten his earlier sad life and is a cuddle bug, wanting to be loved and petted and likes to curl up close to you or on your lap.Raven has been fully vetted and tested negative for Feleuk/FIV.
