Story
Boris was born to a stray shortly after she was rescued.  He has many of the features of a Russian Blue, but does have tabby stripes.  He was born March 9, 2019.  He has become best friends with Casper (all white), with whom he plays and cuddles.   Boris loves to play with toys on his own and toys held by his humans. Boris also cuddles in bed with his humans.  Boris will do best in a home with his friend Casper or another super friendly feline.  Boris would not do well as an only kitty. Boris is current on vaccines and neutered.  If you are interested in meeting Boris, please contact us, email is fastest when you include a phone #: info@tlcrescue.org.  You can also call the foster mom, Mary, at 914-713-8649.  This is a home phone, so only calls, no text msg and please no calls after 9 p.m. Thank you for wanting to save a life!

Story
Sweet Swirly Girl was living in a parking lot.  She would cry for food and attention daily.  The local shelter refused to take her because she was not yet injured.  She loves attention, to play with toys on a string, and toys on her own (notice the spring toys she took to her pet bed with her?!?!).  She has a quirky way of playing with the toy on the string.  She will sit straight up and look away and try to hit the toy.  She will also chase her tail. Our little Swirly Girl is also a lap cat and a bed snuggler.  She gets on her foster mom's lap while mom is working.  She climbs into bed too.  She is super sweet and affectionate.  She will need time to get used to her surroundings.  She may be initially a bit timid.  We have no idea what happened to her while she was surviving about a month or more on the streets, but she will shower you with appreciation once she knows you are her friend and not foe.   When rescued, she had already been spayed (spay scar found). She is guessed to be about 1.5 yr old.  She is FIV/FELV negative and current on vaccines.  She is in foster care with other kitties but we think she would prefer to be an only kitty.  We do not know how she is around dogs. If you are interested in meeting Swirly Girl, please email us with your phone number - that is the fastest way: info@tlcrescue.org.  Or, you can call her foster mom (please call -  # does not accept txt and please no calls after 9 p.m.): 914-713-8649. Thank you for wanting to save a life!

Story
Diamond was rescued from an alley, living among garbage cans. Within 10 hours of being rescued, she started to have babies. She had 3 on May 2, 2017, and they have all been adopted. She sees other fosters come and get adopted. She patiently awaits her forever home. We think she has waited long enough! It's now Diamond's turn to sparkle. Diamond is a young thing, guessed to have been born about December 2016. She is a sweetheart and loves to snuggle with other kitties and her favorite sleeping spot is right beside her foster mom's head/shoulder. The length in foster care is not the saddest part of Diamond's life. When rescued, she had a healed broken femur. She was less than a year old at that time. It does not stop her from playing tag nor wrestling. She gets up on cat trees without missing a step. She gets in bed for snuggles. However, she is not able to get onto counter tops (not a bad thing!). Despite the horrible life she had on the streets - injured, pregnant - she continues to have an unconditional love for people and other cats who are nice to her! After her babies were adopted, she finally put on weight and her fur has become so thick and supple.  The picture of her on plain carpet was shortly after her babies were adopted.  The pictures of her with a colorful background were taken Nov 3, 2019 - she is a gem!  The older picture is a reminder of the hard life she had before being rescued. Diamond would do best in a home with a super mellow cat-social cat. We have no idea how she broke her leg, but from that trauma, we think a quiet home is best for her. Diamond has tested FIV/FELV negative, is current on vaccines and has been spayed. If you are interested in meeting Diamond, please email us at info@tlcrescue.org. Prefer to talk?!  Please call Foster Mom, Mary, at 914-713-8649 (this is a home phone so it cannot take txt msg and we ask that you please do not call after 9 p.m.) Thank you for wanting to save a life!

Story
Casper was found in May 2019 with a bite wound to his paw and horribly dirty ears.  The love bug bit and Casper was rescued as soon as tlc Rescue heard of him. Casper brings out the love in just about everyone.  Most other foster kitties love him.  He can be a bit much for some female kitties but every single male foster kitty snuggles up with Casper.  They also love to play together and groom each other.  It is just too precious.  Casper and Boris are best buddies and we would love to adopt them together. Casper is FIV/FELV negative, neutered, and current on vaccines.  He does need sporadic need his ears cleaned sporadically.  The dirty ears are from wax buildup.  He is well worth the little extra tlc.  His one blue eye and one golden eye will melt your heart, and you will be glad he is part of your life! If you are interested in meeting Casper, please contact us.  Email is fastest when you provide a phone number: info@tlcrescue.org.  You can also leave a message for his foster mom, Mary, at 914-713-8649 (txt do not work, you need to call and please no calls after 9 p.m.). Thank you for wanting to save a life!

Story
I’ve had Max since he was a tiny kitten, however now that I’m leaving for college, my parents sadly no longer want to take care of him. Once you gain his trust, Max is like a best friend who will follow you and cuddle you wherever you go. When I go to sleep, he goes to sleep and when I wake up, he’ll wake up. He’s very energetic and loves to chase lasers but also enjoys being lazy and accompanying me as I watch tv all day. I am unfortunately unable to afford to get him spayed due to college expenses so hopefully this doesn’t pose a problem. I hope to find a new owner who I can trust will love and care for Max and give him a happy and loving life!
